Komi S Klu, JD, FLMI,CSM,CSPO

Chief Investment & Risk Officer at EMI Group

Komi  S. Klu is a well-respected Financial Services Executive and investment facilitator with over 20 years of proven success in driving operational efficiencies and spearheading efforts to promote  financial and operational efficiency for large global financial institutions, including Capital One Finance and HSBC Bank. Concurrently, as Chief Investment & Risk Officer of EMIGROUP, Komi is providing leadership and consulting services, assisting African companies in building solutions for large scale, complex business challenges aimed at mitigating risks and driving investment and growth opportunities.

Komi has earned a reputation for the innovative and strategic leadership he brings to the financial services industry, as well as to global humanitarian initiatives. He has held management positions overseeing Corporate Due Diligence, Risk Management, and Claims Processing Operations for Capital One Finance (Wilmington, DE). Prior to joining Capital One, Komi held key management positions during his 12 years with HSBC Insurance Services (Bridgewater, NJ), a subsidiary of HSBC Bank Group, one of the world’s largest banking and financial services organizations with an international network throughout Europe, Asia, the Americas, and Africa. As Vice President of Operations and the head of Bancassurance  for North America at HSBC, he led and developed a high-performing team of 60 managers and employees, and managed risk for a portfolio of 12.5 million accounts, saving the bank multi-million dollars from potentially fraudulent activities. Komi had oversight for multi-lingual Customer Service Call Centers in the United States and India and was successful in the design and execution of global business process outsourcing initiatives, saving HSBC nearly $2 million.

Komi was educated in the United States and Europe, holding graduate degrees from Widener University in Chester, PA; a Post-Master’s Degree in Business and Private Law from Bordeaux University, in Bordeaux, France. His professional credentials include: Certificate in Managing Complex Programs from Stanford University; Certified Scrum Master and Scrum Product Owner from the Scrum Alliance; and Fellow, Life Management Institute (FLMI, the highest designation of Global FLMI Society which is well respected across the global insurance industry). Komi is also member of the Global Association of Risk Professionals (GARP), as well as the African Financial Professionals network and holds multiple additional certifications in the insurance industry. Komi also serves on the board of financial and international organizations across North America and Africa. He is currently the chairman of the board of WAFI CAPITAL, SA a private Equity firm operating in West Africa with a client base from North America and Europe.

 

EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR

Rubby Golo is the Founder/CEO of Global Trade Consult, a Ghanaian-based business consultancy firm supporting overseas companies with business interests in Ghana. The firm helps companies understand, access, and manage business opportunities by helping foreign companies’ trade and invest in Ghana. 

Rubby is a Trade & Investment expert with wealth of experience and demonstrated history of working in the International Trade & Investment space for almost two decades with the Department for International Trade (DTI) in Accra before setting up her business. 

She is currently a member of the Advisory Board for the Livestock & Fisheries Chamber, Board Chair for Agriwoman Foundation, Vice Board Chair for Nolle Design, Board Member for JA Ghana, Ghana Advisor for the Scottish Africa Business Association (SABA), Country Advisor for Turnkey International Business Group (Turkey), and Country Business Partner for the Greater Manchester Chamber of Commerce (GMCC). 

She is married, with a lovely daughter and very devoted to her family.

Dr. Samuel Nkansah 

 Chief Executive Officer & Lead Consultant at Samah Holdings LTD

Dr. Samuel Nkansah is an experienced Chief Executive Officer with a demonstrated history of working in the pharmaceutical industry in Ghana. A pharmacist and holds an MBA in Finance.  He is also a fellow of the West African Postgraduate College of Pharmacist and Ghana College of Pharmacists.  He proudly has obtained a doctorate in Business Administration at the College of Doctoral Studies, University of Phoenix, Arizona, USA. He has over 25 years' experience in sales, marketing, and policy management in the global pharmaceutical market. At Samaholdings Ltd, a holding company for Samah Chemists, Samah Trading, and Advocacy Consult, he has since 2018 provided consultancy services for pharmaceutical companies and a hospitality corporation by guiding them with business plans for other West African markets. Mr Nkansah is currently a Board member of the Eagles Properties Group. Before establishing and founding Samaholdings Ltd, was the company lead for GlaxoSmithKline in West Africa with increasing levels of responsibility, culminating in managing the Government Affairs wing of the company in West/Central Africa. This position involved coordinating the roll-out of Government affairs in the whole region through interaction with relevant stakeholders whose roles are vital to our sustainability. He helped organized the roll-out of government affairs in West Africa, identified and built a sustainable relationship with key customers within the Expanded Program of Immunization (EPI) within West/Central Africa, leading to newer vaccines. As an accomplished sales and marketing professional he is a leader, motivator, innovative, and confident person that can boost with excellent customer service, negotiation, and influencing skills. 

 

Janice Odonkor

 Founder of Media Republique Communications

Janice Odonkor is a Communications and Business Development Consultant. She is the Managing Consultant and Founder of Media Republique Communications, an integrated communications firm. She also serves as the Executive Director for Dampari Investments Limited, a consultancy which focuses on conducting in-country investment activities for its partners and clients. As a stalwart personality in the local and international business landscape, she has an extensive range of expertise within the Oil and Gas, Public Relations, Telecommunications, Agribusiness and Sports Industries. Janice is a performance-driven management professional with 15 years’ experience in building high-profile relationships. Her focus on developing and executing communications and business development strategies is highly patronised. Her insight in to leading in-country investor activities is a commendable attribute that is copiously exhibited by maintaining a healthy balance of building and sustaining client relationships within the framework of compliance across the industries. 

Education: Executive Master’s Degree from the China Europe International Business School (CEIBS); Alumnus of the University of Cape Coast (UCC) and an Alumni of the Wesley Girl’s High School (WGHS).

 

Isabel Boaten

 Managing Partner of AB & David Ghana

Isabel Boaten is the Managing Partner of AB & David Ghana- the founding member of the Pan African law firm, AB & David Africa. Her areas of expertise are corporate finance and government business / legislative reform. She has worked on several landmark assignments including procurement and concession reform in Liberia, railway and PPP policy and legislative reform in Ghana, advice on a $100m Medium Term Note for the financing of mortgage loans and advice on the development of one of the largest shipyards in West Africa. She has also advised on mergers and acquisitions in diverse sectors, including the banking and financial services, ICT and infrastructure development sectors. Significantly, Isabel led AB & David’s campaign to become the first law firm in Africa to secure Lexcel – the Law Society of England & Wales’ accreditation, awarded to law firms that meet the highest management and client care standards. Her work is recognized by the leading international reviewers of lawyers and law firms - Who’s Who Legal, Chambers Global and IFLR. Isabel is also a recipient of a number of awards including Law Digest Africa awards for Young Managing Partner of the Year and Female Managing Partner of the Year for 2015 and woman in law to watch conferred by the Institute of African Women In Law in 2020.  She is also a lecturer in Law Practice Management at the Ghana School of Law. 

Isabel is married with two sons. Her passion to see people achieve their career potential and gain professional fulfillment birthed  her blog “Isabel’s Journey of Discovery”, (https://www.isabelsdiscovery.com/), where she relives the experiences of  her professional journey from her ” baptism” as a lawyer through to becoming  an Associate, a Partner,  and now Managing Partner.

 

Vincent Kofi Bansah

 Founding Director and Managing Partner of GeoEXPLO Ltd

Vincent Kofi Bansah is a Founding Director and Managing Partner of GeoEXPLO Ltd, a mineral exploration and drilling company in West Africa. He has more than eight (8) years’ experience with Sahara Mining Services and other mining company before starting GeoEXPLO. 

Kofi Bansah is a full time exploration geologist who has worked as contractor for more than 12 mining companies in Ghana, Côte d'Ivoire, Burkina Faso, Guinea, Mali and Senegal and Liberia. He got appointed in 2019 as the Business Development Manager for Degbed Company Ltd, a mechanical and structural installation company that has been operating since 2011 throughout Africa in the set up and maintenance of ball and sag mill, scrubber, shaft laser alignment, condition monitoring and general maintenance for all mines processing plant.

Vincent Kofi Bansah is a graduate of University of Ghana, Earth Science Department and speaks fluently French and English.

 

Afua Larbi (Nana Oye)

Managing Director of Nolle Design

Nana Oye Larbi is the Managing Director of Nolle, she has over a decade years of industry experience in large scale projects and have clientele base mainly in the Oil & Gas, Real Estate and Manufacturing Industries. She is an enthusiastic, creative and experienced professional with strong communication and design skills, years of involvement managing and building client relationships, assisting and handling multiple projects, while meeting deadlines. Nana Oye oversees Nolle’s design projects from the planning stage, right through to installation. It’s her responsibility to ensure projects are completed on time with minimal disruption as well as charting blueprint policies for the company and implementing them for the betterment of the employees and the company. She holds an MSc Governance & Leadership and BSc Marketing.

 

Dr. Kweku Akuffo

Managing Director for Kaman Investments LLC

Dr. Kweku Akuffo is a versatile Logistics and Supply Chain professional with over 19 years’ experience from middle to senior level management roles.  

He has demonstrated success in various roles in both Ghana and UK for organizations such as Sainsbury’s Supply Chain (UK), John Lewis (UK) and DHL Supply Chain (Ghana) and Renaizance Supply Chain (Ghana). He is currently the Managing Director for Kaman Investments LLC, a company he founded in 2004. 

He was the maiden Managing Director of 3rd Party Logistics Ltd. He took 3rd Party from nothing to a mini giant in the FMCG space in Ghana by providing logistics outsourcing solutions to major FMCGs in Ghana such as Guinness Ghana Breweries Ltd, Fan Milk Ghana Ltd, Accra Breweries Ghana Ltd, Nestle Ghana Ltd, Wilmar Africa and Voltic Ghana Ltd etc. Prior to holding the above positions, Kweku worked for the Ghana Grains Council as the Head of the Warehouse Receipts Program, A USAID & AGRA funded project.

 

Dr. Ing. Alexander Boakye Marful

Consultant for Fichtner GmbH & Co. KG

Dr. Ing. Alexander Boakye Marful is an Architect and Infrastructure Planner with 10 years of professional experience. He completed his PhD at the University of Stuttgart, Germany, in Sustainable City Planning. Before the PhD, he graduated from the Master of Infrastructure Planning course where he obtained extra insight into the integrated and regional planning. 

In 2008 he formed Spaysis with two other partners. He has since been working as a Consultant as Infrastructure Planning for Fichtner GmbH & Co. KG where he responsible for project develop-ment, master planning, analysis and management of large Solar Power Plants being financed by the World Bank, European Union and other reputable financial institutions. 

Prior to joining Fichtner GmbH & Co KG, he had the opportunity to demonstrate his ability to translate his architectonic ideas and concepts into reality, on different projects at the Predios Architects and Urban Designers and Ablakwa Development Ltd. He also possesses good command over the usage of various 3D modeling and visualization software as well some architectural drafting and analysis tools like AutoCAD and Arc View GIS software which are applied to land suitability analysis and modeling for efficient land-use planning. In addition, he has received through various master-planning projects, knowledge in communities systems and development in the areas of urbanism principles, context evaluation, re-generation strategies, and environmental & social impact assessment.

 He has working experience in Ghana, Germany, Kuwait, Uganda, Sudan, Malawi, South Africa and USA. He has special interest in Ecologically Re-sponsive Community Planning and Development as well as Green Architecture and Buildings. He is married with three sons.

 

Louis Yaw Afful

Executive Director of AfCFTA Policy Network 

Louis Yaw Afful is a Trade Practitioner and the Executive Director of AfCFTA Policy Network with a strong private sector development skill, former finance director for a large Retail Group for over a decade and he helped grow profits over 100%. A former Country Director of M.I.P Ghana, a management and exchange program firm based in the UK. He also was the CEO of commodity trading firm called LOBI Enterprise. Louis has worked closely with international agencies like African Union CFTA, a Board Member of Globe Chamber of Commerce, A Board Member of Ghana Chamber of SMES. He is a team Member of SEEDS DUBAI a Multinational group firm in UAE.  Louis has featured in many international conferences and international media interviews, a member of the Technical working group on the AfCFTA of Ghana, Ministry of Trade and Industry. He was a member and a Rappoteur on private sector consultative team who worked on the CFTA agreement now called the African Continental Free Trade. He has sound economic understanding currently, the largest international free trade NGO focused on the implementation of the African Continental Free Trade and Women of Africa Network.     

Louis was given a citation recently by the CFTA unit of Department of Trade and Industry of the African Union for lead championing of Afcfta, and also commended to have started the AfCFTA international stakeholders made up   of AfCFTA, experts, chief Negotiators, ambassadors, etc. 

 

Crescens Agyeman Badu

International Business Development Consultant

Crescens Agyeman Badu is an international business development consultant. He is the Global Advisor of Global Chamber in Accra and he is a connector and collaborator. Value-oriented professional with vast industry experience leading teams. Able to consistently deliver result by establishing collaborative and productive partnerships, effectively leveraging resources, and motivating cross functional teams. He is the director of Imextra a corporate solution consulting firm based in Accra Ghana and a business development consultant both Paytell company ltd  a heavy duty equipment dealers and Ghana Austria business Association (GHABA). 

He holds a diploma in management and a bachelor’s degree both from University of Professional Studies, Accra-Ghana, and an MBA in marketing from University of Ghana Business School and currently pursuing a professional course in corporate governance. His vision is balancing professional life and personal life and making great contributions to society.

 

Michael Otchere-Mensah

Managing & Technical Director at MG Systems

With over 25 years’ rich experience as expert and certified professional in the ICT and Power Industry, he is the  leader of MG Systems Limited, Ghana and MG Systems LLC, USA. His expertise ranging from Business Administration to Technical and  Marketing. Mr. Otchere-Mensah has led a number of successful projects for both  corporate and government in Ghana and other West Africa countries.

Felix Awuku Afeti

CEO, Liwuet Services Ghana

Felix is the Founding Director of Liwuet Services that provides Business Development Services, Model Project Concepts, Finance, IT Management and Other Support Services for companies in Ghana and across the globe both online and offline. They package SMEs and NGOs to attract funding by formulating their Business/Concepts, Project Proposals and Business Plans. The company partner and facilitate activities of International Brands and companies that want to do business in Ghana.

For almost 20 years of corporate life, Felix has excellent blend of experience from public and private sector management skills having worked with Controller and Accountant General’s Department for 7 years and over12 years working across many industries in the private sector. He successfully submitted prudential returns of Leasafric Ghana Ltd to Bank of Ghana as IT Manager and managed relationships with C&I Leasing Plc. Nigeria, Hertz Rental and Software Service providers from Kenya. He has special skills in Business Logic Models, Promoting Entrepreneurship and Business Development which he displayed at Flowers Innovation Global and Flowers School of Technology and Management (FSTM), Germany as a Director responsible for Business Innovations and Entrepreneurship. He is also a faculty member at FSTM. 

Felix is a Consultant for UNHCR to train and coach businesses of African refugees in Ghana. He also serves as a Management Consultant to Rural Enterprises Program fostering the growth of local businesses. He has modelled major projects across industries in Ghana, Nigeria, Liberia and Sierra Leone. He has managed projects across agriculture, energy, waste management, health, tourism, banking and more for companies of all sizes. Felix has managed projects for Volta River Authority, Northern Electricity Distribution Company, Republic Bank, Heritage Liberia among others. He modelled a commercial goat project certified under One District One Factory flagship project for the Ghanaian government.

Lydia Ohenewaa Bampoe

Lydia Ohenewaa Bampoe is an experienced B2B and B2C Liaison, Trade Advisory Consultant and Etiquette and Life Skills Coach.

With over 15 years of experience in different areas of the service sector, she has passion for providing top-tier client and customer experiences; connecting businesses to one another and to the correct prospective clientele as well as overseeing the strategies with which they do so.

Lydia is currently and successfully running her business Bridge Africa UK and its sister company 1800-Lydia Services. She is able to use her strategic skills to help businesses and individuals alike and is easily visible in everything she does. She brings on board her local/international trade experiences and knowledge to help the Global Chamber Ghana Metro grow.

 

Jerome Adzah

President and Founder of THE SALESMAN (TSM) STRATEGIC HUB

Jerome Adzah is a highly accomplished business consultant, entrepreneur, and sales and marketing professional with extensive experience supporting B2B brands across various industries, including real estate, health, information technology, banking and finance, education, oil and gas, beauty, human resources and recruitment, NGOs, and hospitality. His expertise lies in helping clients achieve their most ambitious goals through actionable strategies.

Jerome is also dedicated to empowering youth through training sessions tailored to meet their unique needs. He served on the Curriculum Review Panel for the National Board for Professional and Technician Examinations (NABPTEX, Ghana) and moderated sessions on Writing a Winning CV, Who Owns the Customer, and Disruptive Marketing.

As the President and Founder of THE SALESMAN (TSM) STRATEGIC HUB and Co-founder of Deed Consulting, Jerome has held various leadership positions, including Country Manager for Jetlink Ghana, Principal Marketing Officer at Softlanding Limited (a member of the Stratcomm Africa Group), Marketing Manager for FC Beauty Group, and an Adjunct Lecturer at FC Beauty College. He currently serves as the Accounts Manager for Reliance Personnel Services.

Jerome provides sales and marketing training programs for corporate professionals and organizations as the President of The Salesman. He is a full member of the Professional Sales Society and a certified sales trainer. Jerome is also a certified professional trainer by the International Association for People and Performance Development (IAPPD Global). He holds a Master’s in Business Administration from Unicaf University of Zambia and a Mastering Metrics and Driving Innovation certification from the Chartered Institute of Marketing (CIM UK). He is a full member of the Chartered Institute of Marketing Ghana (CIMG).

Dr. Abena Nyarkoa Asomaning

Business strategist, human Rights & Environmental advocate

Dr. Abena Nyarkoa Asomaning is currently the Managing Director of the Africa Environmental Sanitation Consult (AfESC) and a lecturer at the University of Professional Studies, Accra. She is also an adjunct lecturer of the China Europe International Business School (CEIBS) Africa. She has a PhD. from the University of Lille - France, an MBA from University of Lincolnshire, UK and a BSc. in Development Planning from KNUST, Ghana. She has previously worked with the Ministry of Health and Ministry of Environment, Science, Technology and Innovation. Her experience in the private sector includes stints with EY Ghana, Access Bank with various consulting engagements for a number of established brands in the financial and insurance sectors in Ghana. For over 15 years, she has been at the forefront of women’s empowerment in Ghana. She is a prolific writer and an internationally published author. 

She is on a number of international and local boards. She has won several awards including an award from the Queen of England under the Points of Light Award (the 62nd young individual in the world) for her humanitarian work with women and contribution towards development in Ghana (2018). She has been recognized by the President of France in recognition of women achievers in Africa (2019). Also, she has won the MTN Heroes of Change award for Social Protection (2014) and others. She is passionate about development in Africa, and has spoken at many international and local conferences to share her views on topics related to leadership, economics, sustainability, healthcare and gender. She is an individual with great interpersonal skills, resourcefulness and admirable networking abilities.

 

YAW OWUSU OKYERE

International Business Development Consultant

Yaw has 14 years of experience as an HR practitioner with expertise in strategy, stakeholder
management, and team leadership. He has worked across the HR cycle, continuously
developing his proficiency with the latest methodologies to create pragmatic solutions to real-
world challenges. As a key member of the HR leadership team at a leading international bank in
Ghana, he transformed the organization's culture and processes.
Currently, he leads the HR function for a growing Ghanaian Group, establishing and developing
the function to attract and develop the best talent. Yaw holds a BA (Hons) in HR Management
and a Masters in Personnel and Development (CIPD) from the University of Northampton and
De Montfort University, respectively.  

 

Odelia Ntiamoah

Global Director of the Oxford Africa Women Leadership Institute

Odelia is currently the Global Director of the Oxford Africa Women Leadership Institute, a global non-for profit with the sole aim of building women led businesses to be sustainable while building women leaders. So far, her work as team lead has supported 2,000 women led businesses across 36 African countries.

For 20 years, she has served in various media companies including providing training for the BBC World Service involving 60 media houses. For 20 years, she has provided leadership in Business Journalism as either a leader or reporter interviewing 8 presidents and some global icons like the inventor of the world wide web. Odelia has also served as a board member for CSIR IRB for 12 years.

 

Kingson Moses Amegavi

Diana Aantwiwaa Amoako

The founder of Ideas & Update

Diana Antwiwaa Amoako is a Managing Consultant and the founder of Ideas & Update, a consulting unit supporting individuals and organisations with People, Learning, Training, Coaching and Performance Solutions. She has over 30 years’ experience as a People, Learning and Performance practitioner. Along her career journey, she has worked in governmental, multinational, and consulting work settings.
She holds a BSc Home Economics and an MA Adult Education from the University of Ghana She has a Post Graduate Certificate in Public Administration from the Ghana Institute of Management and Public Administration (GIMPA) and is also certified by the Institute of Leadership and Management (ILM) to a Level 5 in Leadership and Management.

Diana began her People, Learning and Performance career in 1992 with the Non- Formal Education Division (NFED) of the Ministry of Education as a Programme Officer for Training. In 2020 she retired from the West African Gas Pipeline Company after working in various positions including HR Manager and Learning and Development Manager across Ghana, Togo, Benin, and Nigeria for a cumulative fifteen-year period, She has various certifications in Human Resource Processes & Change Management, Human Competency & Capability Development, Competency Management Systems Development, Competency, Advanced Learning and Development Practice, Project Management, Talent Development and HR Transformation, Value Creation, Leadership Sustainability among others through local and international training programmes. Diana has offered People Management and Capability Development solutions to various organisations including Bank of Ghana, Stanbic Bank, National Communication Authority and Ministry of Finance, PricewaterhouseCoopers GOIL, Ghana National Gas Company, Tullow Oil, West African Gas Pipeline Company, Karpowership, GRIDCO, VRA, AngloGold Ashanti, African Mining Services, Ghana Ports and Harbours Authority among others.

She partners other People Management and Development solutions providers including Ghana Employers Association, National Banking College and the Chartered Institute of Bankers, Ghana to plan, develop and deliver People, Learning, Training, Coaching and Performance solutions. Diana is a member of the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development (CIPD UK) and the Chartered Institute of Human Resource Management, Ghana (CIHRM). Her passion flows around career management, self-directed learning, and lifelong learning.
