USTDA Reverse Trade Mission on Vietnam Advanced Tech for Power Transmission

U.S.Trade and Development Agency (USTDA) led a Reverse Trade Mission event in Arlington, Virginia USA on "Vietnam Advanced Technologies For Power Transmission”. Global Chamber® was pleased to support the event as an official collaborating organization of USTDA.

At the Business Briefing meeting held at the USTDA Business Center in Arlington last week, the participants learned about project opportunities in Vietnam and had the opportunity to meet with decision-makers from Vietnam's transmission utility.

Over the next 3-5 years, Vietnam Electricity National Power Transmission Corporation (EVNNPT) anticipates investments of $800 million to $1 billion annually to support Vietnam’s transmission system modernization and expansion plans.

They invite US businesses to participate in their procurement opportunities.

On the other hand, the Vietnam delegation gained valuable insights from the U.S. Industry Roundtable discussion that addressed the use of advanced technologies and best practices for modernizing electric power transmission systems.

Global Chamber® continues to strive to advance its mission to help members engaging in cross border commerce and to promote international trade by supporting organizations such as US Trade and Development Agency.

Sincerely, Mi Jeong Hibbitts

Executive Director, Global Chamber® Baltimore/Washington
