“Maryland Made to Wear” Runway Show & Party

Posted by: Mi Jeong Hibbitts - Global Chamber Baltimore/Washington on Wednesday, March 4, 2020

A very special fashion show was conducted on February 20th by the Maryland RMI (Regional Manufacturing Institute) at the American Visionary Art Museum. It was a fun and fascinating event that allowed attendees to interact with apparel and fashion manufacturers in Maryland. Dozens of wearable goods of all types sourced in Maryland were showcased in a live runway show.

According to the State of Maryland, 4,000 manufacturing firms had operations in Maryland in 2018, employing 109,000 people. Maryland continues to attract and increase its' manufacturing base within the State.

Global Chamber welcomes opportunities to work with more manufacturers and organizations to further support Maryland's manufacturing industry, especially with respect to helping with their cross-border commerce.

By the way, did you know that Cover Girl is manufactured in Maryland? It was a pleasant surprise to many!!

It was a pleasure to be part of supporting Maryland manufacturers in a fun way for this program.

Sincerely, Mi Jeong Hibbitts

Executive Director, Global Chamber® Baltimore/Washington
