Biographies

Nazri Muhd - Founder/CEO of MyFinB Group. Nazri specialises in AI and cognitive analytics, having spent more than two decades as a practitioner in these fields. He currently heads a venture builder company and is currently the Founder/Group CEO of one of the award-winning tech companies, called MyFinB. 

Regarded as one of the early pioneers to deploy AI-based analytics in Asia-Pacific, Nazri plays a leading role in the digital transformation for the financial sector and SMME development in the region. He is also a regular contributor on A.I-related topics, featured in various media platforms and spoke on the topic in various parts of Europe, Asia, Africa and Middle East.

Prior to his entrepreneurial journey, Nazri was part of the investment and research team of international asset management groups (Citigroup and Prudential) where he managed a portfolio of more than USD5 billion in Asia-Pacific (ex-Japan) - before joining an international ratings agency (Fitch Ratings) where he covered regional financial institutions in Asia.

He is presently the Honorary Consul for The Republic of Cabo Verde; Member, Board of Governors for Republic Polytechnic (Singapore) and Advisor to its School of Infocomm. Nazri was previously appointed as the Chairman of the Investment Committee of the Malay Heritage Foundation (a statutory body of the Singapore government) where he was also its board member.

In 2018  Nazri was named as one of the world's top 500 prominent and influential personalities in the Islamic world and economy (A.I./Fintech category). Nazri was also awarded the Asia Pacific's Top Young Business Leader Award in 2010 by the Ministry of International Trade and Industry. Nazri has an MBA from University of Western Australia and a bachelor’s degree in accountancy and economics from the University of Queensland, Australia.

Ipeleng Selele - Group CEO at RRS Trade and Investment Group. Ipeleng Selele is a qualified International Strategist and an entrepreneur. She specialises in foreign market entry strategies and execution across different sectors and markets. Ipeleng has business interests in maritime affairs, Oil and Gas, LPG distribution, energy infrastructure, foreign market entry strategies, maritime ports training, ICT (digital technology).

Ipeleng owns an LPG gas bottling plant terminal. She also has a solid experience in strategic nation branding, she conceptualised and executed the first Brand South Africa’s Investment stakeholder engagement strategy programme and training globally that was showcased at the World Economic Forum in Davos Switzerland.

Ipeleng has worked on projects in South Africa, Kenya, Cameroon, Mozambique, Tanzania, Uganda Namibia Ghana, Rwanda, Nigeria, Angola, Singapore, US and the UK Ipeleng’s sector experience is in Maritime and Ports, Telecommunications, IT, FMCG, Banking, Branding and Marketing, Pharmaceuticals, Infrastructure, Media, Insurance and Automobiles. She is the founder of African Women in Oil and gas. She assisted with the maritime annexure plan for maritime and women in maritime at the African Union in relation to Africa Integrated Maritime Strategy 2050 execution plan. She also conceptualized and launched the first ever portal of African Maritime Affairs that was launched at the African Union. In particular Mrs Selele has played a pivotal role in driving the African Ports and Maritime development agenda. She was instrumental in conceptualizing and implementing the recent BRICS Maritime Investment Forum 2018 Summit which was held in Durban South Africa focusing on the Maritime agenda. She championed the BRICS Maritime Trade business seminar aimed at leveraging the BRICS partnership with an objective of developing Africa’s maritime trade and attracting investment into the maritime industry.

Ipeleng Selele holds a MSc (Master of Science) in International Marketing Strategy majoring in Foreign Market Entry Strategy from the University of London South Bank. She recently completed an African Leadership Executive Course from Oxford University as part of her TUTU Fellowship as well as a Strategy Execution Qualification from INSEAD, France. She is the Vice President of the Africa Southeast Asia Chamber of Commerce based in Singapore. She is passionate about entrepreneurship development on the continent. She is the Vice President of African Women in Maritime. She serves on the BRICS business council infrastructure working committee and is currently pursuing a Masters in Oil Gas, from Middlesex University, UK.

Tan Poh Ling - Managing Partner at Total International Associates. Poh Ling is currently the Managing Partner of Total International Associates, founded in 2007. She has more than 30 years relevant experience in Audit and Financial advisory. She started her career with a Big Four firm in Malaysia . She was with a multinational construction company where she gained her experience in Human Resources, where she handled over 80 expatriates and 2,000 workers. Her other important roles, consist but not limited to; former Partner of a Mid-size accounting firm. She also found TRE Group that provides corporate advisory, accounting, secretarial and taxation services. She leads a group that provides corporate advisory, accounting, secretarial and taxation services where she served and advises many foreign companies.

Her professional expertise and experiences includes; Auditing of public listed companies and SMEs; Due diligence on acquisition of companies, handling shareholders dispute and company valuation; Compilation of financial data for prospectus; Internal audit function for public listed companies and chain of F&B and hotels; Advisory on Business Process Outsourcing (BPO) for accounting and payroll outsourcing; Advisory on Digital Transformation on HR and financial functions, Business advisory and process improvements for clients, GAP analysis and advisory for pre-IPO of companies for New York Stock Exchange listing and Malaysia, Advisory on Micro Finance in Cambodia, Advisory on restructuring of a Japanese company having operations worldwide with main focus in USA, Japan and Asia, Auditing of Hong Kong companies and subsidiaries of US listed companies and Internal Audit on China enterprise and subsidiaries of US listed companies. Her industry experiences cuts across many industries such as financial, manufacturing, trading, construction, tele-communication, fintech, hotels,and other services.

Poh Ling is also a certified public accountant from Malaysian Institute of Certified Public Accountant (MICPA). She is also a member of the Malaysian Institute of Accountant (MIA), Chartered Taxation Institute of Malaysia (CTIM), Financial Planning Association of Malaysia (FPAM), ASEAN Federation of Accountants (AFA) and Membership Director of Malaysia Accounting Firm Association (MAFA).

Olufemi Hassan - Principal Consultant at Hatytude Consultancy Services. Olufemi is an accomplished Financial Analysts, Banker and strategists. He is a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants, Nigeria.  He has over twenty years working experience spanning Banking, Financial Consultancy, Business Advisory and Deal structuring. He has been involved in Advisory services to HSBC, Centrica and IE Singapore, etc. Olufemi has MBA from the Prestigious Lancaster University Management School, UK. He Is also an alumnus of HEC Montreal, Canada and Cambridge University Judge Business School. He has undergone several training in Nigeria, Europe and Canada. He has undergone boot camps and coaching sessions including sessions with Coverdale group and Dale Carnegie. 

Olufemi is the Principal Consultant at Hatytude Consultancy Services Ltd, a management consulting firm in Nigeria engaged in supporting business growth and facilitating collaboration between foreign investors and Nigerian businesses. While in UK, he led a consulting team to develop a strategic management plan to grow market share for a Leading Commercial Bank. He has also consulted for MNCs, large corporations and SMEs. He is currently focusing on leveraging innovation and technology driven solutions to address Business Problems making good use of data analytics and Business Intelligence.

Raj Muppala - CEO & Founder at AInfinity. Raj Muppala is an entrepreneur baed in the UK who is helping businesses optimize value from Digital Transformation with AI. Raj has over 18 years of experience in various roles in IT & Business at Fortune 100 companies. Over the last few years, Raj has helped big enterprises with an efficient AI strategy and methodology to implement explainable AI solutions to increase ROI. To address the big need for companies in saving costs and being efficient, with ‘Explainable AI applications’, Raj has started an Innovative AI company AInfinity, to help businesses address complex challenges (in Risk, Customer Insights, etc) with Intuitive human focused AI solutions. The AInfinity product ‘alivecore’ fits companies growing in the covid19 era and beyond, helping organisations with real-time insights and sentiments from millions of news, social media feeds on holistic insights for actionable decisions for brand reputation, customer engagement, risk insights and sentiments. Micah Mangione - President at Connect-AI. Micah first started in the software field in 2006. Since then, he has gone on to develop large applications and intelligent systems for clients like Arizona State University, Nextiva, SiteLock, and Google. He has degrees in Mathematics and Physics from Arizona State University and has worked on research towards his PhD in Artificial Intelligence at the ASU School of Earth and Space Exploration. He has deep practical experience in planning, developing, implementing, and maintaining intelligent software and technologies - and is now focused on making enterprise AI technologies available to small-and-mid-sized businesses.

 

Doug Bruhnke - Founder/CEO of Global Chamber®. Doug is an international entrepreneur dedicated to helping members of Global Chamber® reach new markets across metros and borders more successfully. He is a two-time expat with Dupont in Tokyo and Singapore with over 30 years of global business experience in nearly all countries and segments. Doug is a regional advisor for U.S. Global Leadership Coalition and a member of collaborating international groups including the Arizona District Export Council. He has a B.S. in Chemical Engineering from University of Utah, an EMBA from Michigan State University and 5 patents. Doug was born in Mt.
