Virtual Online Global Dining: Ethiopian Cuisine

Posted by: Yvonne Luker - Global Chamber on Thursday, June 25, 2020

We held a fun virtual gathering of global business people networking while enjoying an Ethiopian meal at their home or office, from the restaurant of their choice.

This has become a regular globinar-style event at Global Chamber®.

Thank you Maria Segura of Global Chamber® Denver and the Global Womens Committee for starting this tradition. Missed it? Catch our next one next month! This time we had attendees from Illinois through Los Angeles, and places in-between.

We were especially pleased and honored to welcome Acting Consulate Ceneral of Ethiopia based in Los Angeles, Mr Muktar Mohamed. Mr. Mohamed explained the current business opportunities in Ethiopia with a focus on import and export businesses.

Ethiopia is adjusting policies to make it easier for businesses to be competitive. Ethiopia has a rich history of business. We also heard about some of the regional dynamics including the battle over water between Egypt and Ethiopia, and the strain that is creating. There are some interesting other angles to consider, like the 88 languages with the country. Wow! Contact us for more.

In addition Anibal Abayneh - GM of Cafe Lalibela & Lalibela Healthy Foods shared his thoughts both on the food and on business. Thank you, Anibal for all you do and for participating in this event. Pictured below... a selection from the various tasty variety of food offered by Cafe Lalibela, based in Tempe, Arizona. Each attendee received food from their own metro/region.
