Associate Vice Chancellor, Global Economic Development at Dallas County Community College District
Anita Gordy-Watkins provides strategic leadership for building strong international alliances to support the workforce initiatives with colleges and to support economic development initiatives of the District and its communities. Anita focuses on increasing foreign direct investment strategies for Dallas County, as well as positioning the District as the leader in global business development for the Metroplex. She frequently speaks on topics related to international relations, workforce development, and building successful domestic and global partnerships. She has been responsible for establishing a successful Global Leadership and Development Academy that delivers professional development and international programming for domestic and international clients and partners around the world. She has traveled and worked extensively with many countries. Anita is a graduate of Oklahoma State University. When not at home in Ovilla, TX, Anita enjoys traveling the world with her husband and 3-year old daughter.

Caio began his career in International Trade earlier in his college days as trainee in a software house back in 1994. From this platform he took on operational role in a metals commodity producer in Sao Paulo, Brazil and multiple business development roles with Fortune 100 and 500 companies within Logistics and Supply Chain industry. In 2009, Caio relocated to New York City to join the supply chain finance team with the financial services arm of a major logistics integrator and eventually establishing his consulting firm in 2015 leading to the foundation of InvoiSEC in Dallas, TX focused in meeting short-term working capital needs for small and medium size business in Texas and across the nation.

Drawing on over 25 years of experience in the financial services business, David Cary assists entrepreneurial families with the building and exiting of their businesses; responsible management of their philanthropic efforts; and creative strategies to amplify their impact by blending business and philanthropic strategies, what David refers to as “amplifying your heart.” As part of his marketing and business development efforts, David creates mutually beneficial relationships for his clients and contacts, and produces articles on a variety of financial topics. The first in his family to graduate college, David grew up in Norman, Oklahoma, and obtained an undergraduate degree in accounting from the University of Oklahoma. He went on to earn an MBA in finance from the University of Texas at Dallas. David began his career as the first full-time accounting employee of a startup computer software retailer, which pioneered the computer superstore concept and eventually went public. David assisted with the due diligence for the IPO before leaving to join Shearson Lehman Brothers, which later became part of Morgan Stanley. David and his wife, Valerie, have been married since 1987 and have three grown children – a CPA, a software engineer and a college student.

Ms. Dobreva is a founder and principal immigration attorney of Dobreva Law Office. As an experienced U.S. immigration attorney, Dobrina is known among clients and peers for providing creative solutions to complex immigration law problems, involving investor visas, work visas and immigration compliance. Her practice focuses on corporate immigration matters for high-tech, pharmaceutical/ biotech and health care industries. Specifically, Dobrina’s immigration practice includes E-1 and E-2 treaty investors visas, EB-5 investor visas, employment based EB-1, EB-2, EB-2 National Interest Waiver, EB-3immigrant visas, PERM, TN, H-1B specially occupation, L-1A and L-1B intercompany transfer, O and P visas for individuals with extraordinary ability. Finally, Dobrina has been a frequent speaker at educational and business seminars on various immigration law topics in the DFW Metroplex.
Hubert Zydorek serves as Program Director of the Bachelor of Science in Global Business as well as Director of Center for Global Business at the University of Texas at Dallas. Hubert has 15+ years of experience in international consulting, academic teaching and management of design, development and delivery of blended-learning solutions to international clients. Prior to joining UTD Hubert worked for Xerox Learning Solutions managing advisory learning projects for Ernst & Young, one of the Big Four accounting firms. During this time Hubert led design, development and implementation of programs for various ranks (New Hire through Partner) at EY. He has lived and worked in Poland, Spain, Germany, the Netherlands, India, China and led offshore teams from China, India, Malaysia, Mexico and the Philippines. Hubert received his BA in International Relations and Business from Cleveland State University, his MBA from Cleveland State University, and MA in Finance and Investments from the University of Nottingham Ningbo China.

Ivonne Castro is a successful leader with 21 years of expertise in CPG, Telecommunications and Technology sectors. She possesses a Masters in Business and Human Capital and a bachelor’s degree in Labor and Industrial Relations. During her corporate career, Ivonne worked with global companies as Grupo Bimbo, Bridgestone Firestone and Mabe. She has strong experience in Talent Management and designing, implementing, and executing human capital strategies with a comprehensive, diverse, and inclusive mindset. Her expertise includes mergers, acquisitions, downsizings, closing operations, and negotiation with unions. She has experience as an advisor, consultant, coach, and mentor for C-Suite Levels, instructional designer, and facilitator in organizational development projects. Her professional interests focus on education and learning, culture, ethics, business ventures, change management, technology, leadership, team development, employee engagement experiences, talent management, human capital strategies. Ivonne is currently Managing Partner HR Solutions at IP Living. Her current goals include to develop and deliver proactive solutions with a dynamic vision of HR to help businesses to create a sustainable integration of people, processes, and technology.
Jean-Gardais "Dèdè" Monfiston
Director of Government Affaires and NGOs at TechFides
Happy father and husband, Jean-Gardais (or Dèdè to most) has a long history of accomplishments working for non-profit and for-profit organizations in a globally networked environment. His quest to make a difference has taken him to Africa, the Middle East, and the Caribbean, leading education, health, and economic development programs. Besides his bachelor's degree in animal sciences and agribusiness studies, Dèdè holds a Master’s degree in International Management from the Thunderbird School of Global Management. In addition to teaching, Dèdè enjoys good music and cuisine. He has a multicultural and diverse background and speaks fluent English, French, and Spanish.
Jessica Gordon is the Director of the U.S. Department of Commerce’s U.S. Commercial Service Dallas-Fort Worth Office where she leads a team of industry-focused, international trade specialists to assist small to medium-sized North Texas companies to grow their businesses through launching an export business or increasing their sales transactions in target markets around the globe. She also serves as the Executive Secretary of the North Texas District Export Council (NTXDEC), the Commercial Service Dallas-Ft. Worth’s lead partner of trade professionals appointed by the Secretary of Commerce to provide international trade guidance to the local business community, where she is the chief Commercial Service liaison for Commerce and NTXDEC engagement on international trade development issues and expanding the North Texas exporter ecosystem. A native of Biloxi, Mississippi, Jessica graduated Magna Cum Laude and earned double degrees, a BA in Spanish and a BSBA in International Business, from the University of Southern Mississippi.
Founder and CEO, BioSafe Technologies, Inc.
Lynn is the product developer, founder and CEO of BioSafe Technologies, Inc. The company has been manufacturing and exporting a specialized non-toxic head lice shampoo since 2003 and exporting in bulk to several large European multinational companies where the formulation is further packaged and private labeled into branded lines of products for use on children. Lynn is a graduate of American University in Washington DC with a major in Primary Education and minor in Biology and Psychology. In 1990 she volunteered to work on a humanitarian project in Brazil. Lynn later negotiated with a multi-national chemical supplier to reformulate and purify a specialized raw material; initiated clinical trials in 4 countries; obtained marketing registration for its headlice shampoo kit in Europe as a Class I Medical Device; developed a working relationship with a research scientist from the University of Bristol in the UK who later became a Board Member and Scientific Advisor for BioSafe and developed international supply contracts for exporting product to the Netherlands from 2003-2006, France 2007 to present, UK 2011-present.

Meredith Wilson is the Founder and CEO of Emergent Risk International, LLC, which empowers companies to understand and address the impact of geopolitical events on their business. The company specializes in addressing risks and opportunities in emerging markets, political and security risk, and building strategic risk intelligence programs for multi-national companies and organizations. ERI provides consulting, training and advice to some of the largest multi-national companies in the US. Ms. Wilson serves as a political risk and intelligence advisor to executive management and government and has 19 years experience in international environments, the energy sector, major corporations and the US intelligence community.
Business Development Manager for Advancial Federal Credit Union
Natalie is Business Development Manager for Advancial Federal Credit Union, introducing Advancial benefits to corporate HR, Benefit and/or Global Mobility decision makers. Advancial is an employee’s credit union that exclusively serves its partner organization’s employees providing personal banking solutions, as well as financial literacy in the workplace. In the global space, Natalie represents Advancial as the banking solution for expats coming into the US to work for established entities and are in need of financial services, including lines of credit, auto loans and mortgages. Before her move to Advancial in 2015, Natalie had a successful career in hospitality sales and service for nearly 20 years, where she planned and executed high level board meetings, weddings, conferences and galas. Natalie currently serves DallasHR (one of the largest SHRM affiliates in the US) as Membership Chair in Collin County, has been a Chapter Ambassador since 2015, and served on the DallasHR Strategic Marketing Committee in 2018-19. She was recognized by DallasHR in 2018 as Volunteer of the Year. She also served on the National Fund Raising Committee for Women’s Energy Network in 2017. Natalie volunteers weekly at Mane Gait in McKinney, a therapeutic riding stable for handi-abled children and soldiers. She helps manage the barn and horses as well as work with the riders to reach beyond their boundaries.

Some of his other accomplishments include; turning around multi country operations (>7000 people), executing Win-Win partnerships (> $350 Million >17,000 people), managing M&A and overseeing merger integrations (6000+ people organizations), exceeding client expectations (~Fortune 100), delivering phenomenal ROI to shareholders (>32X), optimizing complex supply chains (>$20 Billion), advising Fortune 500 enterprises and incubating > 12 startups in Cloud SaaS, IoT/Building Automation, RIMS, E-Commerce, Fintech and health-tech areas. Thomas Reddin has been an advocate for businesses and entrepreneurs throughout the country for more than 30 years. Tom, who focuses his practice on employment litigation and counseling, has been recognized on the Best Lawyers in America, Who’s Who in American Law, and Texas Super Lawyers list. As a trusted advisor, Tom partners with clients to anticipate and manage the multitude of risks presented by the modern workforce, including through the development and modification of workplace policies, training programs, practical advice on specific employee issues, and contemplated employment actions. Tom works closely with the firm’s employee benefit and tax attorneys in preparing executive employment, compensation and severance agreements and arrangements. Tom currently serves as vice-chair of the firm's Employment Disputes, Litigation and Arbitration practice.
Victor G. Carrillo
Executive Director of Professional Responsibility & Government Affairs for International Leadership of Texas
Mr. Carrillo is a former energy sector CEO exploring for oil internationally in Israel as well as a former energy sector corporate board director. Prior to that, he served as a statewide regulatory official over the Texas energy sector (oil, natural gas, pipelines). He is an attorney experienced in municipal, county and state governments and is a former city councilman, county judge, university professor, and statewide elected official (Chairman of the Railroad Commission of Texas). Mr. Carrillo currently serves on the following advisory boards: Maguire Energy Institute at Southern Methodist University Energy Council, Jindal School of Management, University of Texas at Dallas Texas-Israel Alliance Hispanic Leadership Initiative. International Leadership of Texas is a public charter school whose mission is to prepare students for exceptional leadership roles in the international community by emphasizing servant leadership, mastery of the English, Spanish, and Chinese languages, and strengthening the mind, body, and character.
