Globinar on Selling a Business

This globinar is for business leaders open to tips on selling a business. We have assembled several experts who have been there, done that. Every process is a little different, but there are some essential things to consider as you lead up to, get involved with, and complete the sale of a business.

For deals that include cross-metro and cross-border investors, markets and organizations - there are some additional factors to consider. A variety of talent and information needs to come together for a successful sale... including on the banking side and with valuation, legal support and the overall process of packaging, marketing and successfully consummating the entire deal.

Rick Shapiro
- President/CEO of The Wheatley Group. Rick is the President and CEO of “The Wheatley Group,” a full-service Merger and Acquisition Firm, located in Scottsdale, Arizona. He’s actively involved in the firm’s management, and directly handles all aspects of his Client’s initiatives and engagements, including the valuation, marketing, negotiation, strategy, and closing process. Rick has sold companies in virtually every sector of the marketplace, to all kinds of buyers, including: NYSE, NASDAQ, strategic acquirers, private equity groups, affluent individuals, and others. He is also a former practicing Attorney (inactive, in NY and AZ), and has won numerous awards, presented by a regional association of his peers, for his successful transaction results. Rick has also been a frequent speaker and presenter at many conferences, continuing education programs, bar associations, and universities.

Big Picture: Rick’s primary focus is to help Owners and Management, navigate the challenges, land-mines, and complex issues, that pervade the transaction landscape and, simultaneously, maximize their Company’s “exit-strategy,” goals.

Steve also has substantial cross-border and international experience assisting foreign companies who are doing business in the United States.
