This session is part of the second program of the Global Growth - Best Practices (GGBP) Series that consist of six Programs addressing all you ever wanted to know in International Business. The H Model – Predicting Global Cultural Affinity
When do you start talking ‘business’ with a new potential foreign partner with whom you meet for the first time? How does the Gift Giving process work? What criteria do you follow to promote your foreign agents? Can you bring red roses for the wife of your foreign partner, when you are invited for dinner? How do you reward and motivate your foreign representatives? How do you tell your foreign representative that you are not happy with their performance? Who should make what decisions for your foreign operations? Every one doing business internationally, will tell you that most often foreign cultures are truly an unknown. This program provides the participant with an organized and structured method to assess a foreign culture, to determine how different it is and how such differences may influence your international business. Five Cultural Dimensions are examined to predict global affinity. A Power Point document will be distributed to each participant with week details.
Week One (Oct. 30th) – Foreign Cultures and the Self Reference Criterion Risk
Week Two (Nov. 6th) – The Six H Cultural Micro Variables – 2 country selections by Participants
Week Three (Nov. 13th) - Cultural Applicability of the H model to the 2 selected countries
Week Four (Nov. 20th) – How to use the H Country Power Index to select your foreign target markets
More about the GGBP Series
The Series consists of six 4-week programs, with different objectives and different focus. Each one of the six programs consists of four Online meetings, once a week, 1.5 hours per meeting, with ‘full access” participation by each attendee. Participants receive a multi-slide Power Point summary of each meeting, relevant participation, guidance, answers, and useful information for their businesses. Programs divided into the following topics:

While each 4-week module may be accessed independently, it is suggested that the modules be taken in the existing sequence, with continuity, to best benefit from each prior learning tools for the next program learning. At the end of the series by Summer 2020, we will have a Virtual "Graduation Ceremony" where Certificates of Attendance and Recognition will be delivered for those completing the whole program.
