Debbie Howard - Chairman at The Carter Group-Japan Market Resource Network. Debbie has lived and worked in Japan for over 30 years, and founded Japan Market Resource Network (JMRN) in 1989. Debbie is a specialist in translating qualitative research into clear strategic direction for international clients, and over her career has worked with most major brands that have entered Japan.
She served as President of the American Chamber of Commerce in Japan (ACCJ) in 2004 and 2005, Chairman in 2006 and 2007, and continues to serve as ACCJ President Emeritus. She has addressed international marketing and business development audiences in the U.S., Japan, Australia, Hong Kong and Thailand, and has facilitated executive-level ideation and strategy development workshops for multi-national companies
such as Daimler-Chrysler, Burberry and American Express.
Andrea Stevenson Conner - CEO at Stevenson-Conner Global Strategies and Past President at ATHENA International. Andrea is a change agent and strategic relationship builder. Through her success in global leadership roles spanning four countries, she promotes corporate social responsibility, leadership development, and gender equity. As Past President of ATHENA International, Andrea led the organization in its mission to support, develop and honor women leaders. In doing so, as she always does, she has brought an international approach and global awareness of the challenges facing women’s educational and equal opportunity advancement.
A servant to the global community, Andrea serves on the Board of the Sias International University Foundation that supports a private post-secondary school in rural China, and is a Governing Body Board Member for the Raleigh Chapter of the US National Committee for UN Women. She is a consultant for the World Academy for the Future of Women and previously worked on assignment for United Nations Women-Beijing.
Andrea holds a master’s degree in Global Leadership from Duquesne University and a bachelor’s degree in economics and business from Edinboro University. Currently residing in North Carolina, Andrea advocates fiercely for issues important to the advancement of the world’s women and global citizenship.
Aparna Ranadive - Executive Director at Global Chamber® Mumbai. Aparna is a socially conscious HR professional, with an entrepreneurial bent of mind, and has a desire to make a difference to the Organization, People and Society, she is associated with. Her experience in the field of HR, spans about 25 years. A Microbiologist by basic qualification, & an alumnus of NMIMS, where she completed her Masters degree in HRM from, Aparna has contributed to HR, in varied industry sectors such as Retail, Media and Entertainment, Financial Services & Consulting, Investment Banking, Telecom, Engineering & Manufacturing etc & held senior & leadership positions in many.
While she worked in the Corporate as a member of the Top Leadership teams, & Heading the HR function for large organisations, she has contributed to the overall strategy & growth of the organisation by Partnering with Business, Taking initiatives & spearheading interventions that would enable , people growth & thus the business growth. Consultative engaging with senior leaders on various people development interventions, Change Management, Talent Management, Learning & Organisation Development, Employer Branding & Campus Recruitment & Process Improvement have been areas of specific passion, & work.
Moderator: Doug Bruhnke - Founder/CEO of Global Chamber®. He is a two-time expat with Dupont in Tokyo and Singapore with over 30 years of global business experience in nearly all countries and segments. Doug is a regional advisor for U.S. Global Leadership Coalition and a member of collaborating international groups including the Arizona District Export Council. He has a B.S. in Chemical Engineering from University of Utah, an EMBA from Michigan State University and 5 patents. Doug was born in Mt.
