The series will leverage legal, marketing, tax and other operational expertise from across multiple organizations that are active in supporting foreign direct investment into the US. Each webinar will feature multiple experts followed by a moderated panel discussion with Q&A.

Morgan Pierstorff - Business Development & Sales Director at Newable Limited. Morgan Pierstorff is the Business Development and Sales Director at Newable Avitus Limited where she leads America Made Easy—the Hassle-free way to get your business up and running in the US. Morgan has a wealth of experience promoting inward investment to the USA having worked extensively with SMEs at the state and federal level to support their global growth strategies. Most recently, she headed Kentucky’s German based European Office promoting state level investment opportunities to companies across Europe. Morgan studied political science at Kentucky Wesleyan College where she completed her undergraduate degree. She holds a Master’s Degree in Public Policy and Management from Carnegie Mellon University’s Heinz College where she graduated as a Public Policy and International Affairs Fellow. Morgan completed studies in leadership and supply chain management in Hamburg, Germany earning an MBA in 2020. She works out of the Newable Avitus London offices helping companies to fully leverage the opportunity of the American market by simplifying their US expansions and supporting their focus on driving revenue.
Dr. Frank Levene - Independent Director for EMEA at Avitus Group. Frank Levene is a seasoned business executive who brings to the table decades of international business experience from living and working in over a dozen countries. As a US-UK dual national, Frank brings a unique perspective to advising international clients on understanding and succeeding in the American Market. Frank launched Avitus’ international business efforts in 2013 and has since that time assisted countless UK firms with navigating US growth.
Kevin Okragly - Marketing Services Manager at Avitus Group. Kevin has over 15 years in the Enterprise (Fortune 100) space working with large brands such as L’Oreal, New York Life, Adobe, and Under Armour providing digital solutions. Kevin shifted focus to the Small to Medium Business market a few years ago to help bring the lessons and innovation learned with the big players to the SMB market. He specializes in helping companies build their brand, define their audience, and go to market.
Thomas Thorelli - Partner & Owner at Thorelli & Associates. Tom Thorelli is a French-speaking US lawyer with thirty years of experience working with small- to medium-sized European companies in minimizing legal risk when doing business in the United States. The firm combines a broad range of expertise (with four lawyers located in the Chicago, Illinois headquarters) in the fields of intellectual property law, product liability preventive management, acquisitions, corporate law, contract negotiation, and immigration; all with small-firm attention to detail and customer service to create tailored legal solutions for its clients.
Tom has served for over 15 years on the Board of Directors of the French-American Chamber of Commerce in Chicago, and has a close working relationship with many Chambers of Commerce located throughout France. He is the US lawyer recommended by the Fédération des Industries Mécaniques. Among other publications, Thorelli & Associates wrote the summary of legal aspects of doing business in the US in one of France’s major international trade publications, le MOCI. Tom is also featured in the 2014 Annuaire of the French Conseillers du Commerce Extérieur. He is often invited to speak about an array of legal issues, including immigration, product liability preventive management, contract negotiations, etc.
Steve Lanier - President at America World Services. Steve Lanier has been actively helping European SMEs for over 20 years to develop the United States as an export market. Since the establishment of American World Services in 1993 he has worked with hundreds of companies and organizations developing their marketing activities in the United States. He brings years of expertise in developing customized strategies for each of AWS' clients, and he frequently presents at workshops and conferences using various case studies to demonstrate how to develop effective marketing strategies for the US market. Mr. Lanier has a Masters in International Affairs (international trade and development) from American University in Washington, DC, and a B.A. in Communication from Bethel University in Minnesota.
