Djeimes Hoffmann – Co Chair
Experienced Senior Sales Account Executive with a demonstrated history of working in the logistics and supply chain industry. Skilled in negotiation, solutions in logistics processes, international business, air & ocean transportation. With 26 years of experience, Bachelor of Laws and University Degree in Logistics Technology – with emphasis in Business Administration. Worked in the Industry and Freight Forwarding, as Foreign Trade Analyst, Sales Executive/Field Sales and Commercial Manager.
Jarco Imbassahy - Co Chair
Jarco has a bachelor´s degree on Business Administration by Universidade Cândido Mendes-Rio de Janeiro, and further MBA on Marketing by the Catholic University of Rio de Janeiro (PUC-Rio), with further specialization on auditing and finance. Jarco has acted for more than 30 years on multinational companies, based in Rio de Janeiro, São Paulo and Joinville, as a C-level executive of the Commercial Area. Besides being owner of Imbassahy Consulting for more than 15 years, he is also dedicated to academic activities, as postgraduate teacher, in Universities located in the region of Joinville.
Xavier Paillon
Xavier Paillon gained extensive experience as a business developer in various industrial sectors in Europe and the United States. He worked for 14 years in sales and marketing with AT&T and BT Concert (in Europe, the Middle East and Africa). As director of operations for Export Vision, based in Scottsdale, Arizona, he helped European companies set up in the U.S. Mr. Paillon now lives in Montreal, Canada. He is director of international business development at PME MTL and a lecturer in International Trade at HEC Montréal.
Julia Baranova
Julia Baranova is an International Business Executive with over 17 years of experience in Foreign Trade & Global Supply Chain, working in different industries, such as oil and gas, aerospace, defense, telecommunications, and commodities. She is a Head of Foreign Trade at the Executive Secretary for International Affairs of Santa Catarina state government in Brazil. Julia is also a Co-founder of BeGlobal Consultancy, specialized in business development strategies and Taylor-made solutions for the internationalization of technology-based companies. She is a visiting professor at UNIVALI and has B.S (BEc) in economics with a specialization in World Economy, MBA in Foreign Trade Management & International Business by FGV, MBA in International Business Management by Massachusetts Institute of Business, and Master of Science degree in Management (MSc) by UDESC. Currently, she is studying for a Ph.D. in Business Administration.
Izabela Rücker Curi
Izabela has a master's in law from PUC-SP and specialized negotiator from Harvard Law School. She is Global Advisor with Global Chamber JOI/Southern Brazil. Izabela is among the most admired lawyers in Brazil, according to the ranking of Análise Advocacia 500 magazine. Izabela was nominated for the 2021 edition of Best Lawyers.
She is CEO of Rücker Curi Advocacy, board member for the Brazilian Institute of Corporate Governance (IBGC – São Paulo), ad hoc mediator and consultant for Global Chambers in the southern Brazil. Founder of Smart Law, a startup focused on legal solutions that mix human and artificial intelligence.
She has been working for 25 years, she has worked as a lawyer for corporations, is a researcher in blockchain and recognized for the practices of compliance with data protection standards.
Mário Eugênio Crivellaro
International attorney, enrolled with the Santa Catarina’s OAB (Brazilian BAR) number 40.571. Graduated from UNISOCIESC in 2014. Expert in “Tax Law and Accounting applied on legal matters” from CATÓLICA-SC (2018). Expert in “Tax Planning and Management” from SUSTENTARE (2020). Works with international matters, especially related to international tax matters, international business expansion and wealth management planning. Worked in Martinelli’s law firm international department (2018) and currently as international tax coordinator at Bastos, Wackerhagen, Berns & Associates law firm.
Miguel Elias
Miguel started his professional career as a banker in 1978 and had the opportunity to work at Lloyds TSB Bank for almost 12 years having had experiences in several operational and product areas related to Trade Finance, Services, Foreign Exchange and international guarantees.
Afterwards he worked as a head of Dealing Desk of Deutsche Bank for almost 10 years, where he was responsible for covering Large Corporate clients and the main products were Structure Trade Finance, Pre-Export and Import Finance, Export Credit Agencies, Offshore Loans trade related, Discount of Export receivables program (Supply Chain Finance), Standby LC´s, Import/Export Letter of Credit, Forfaiting and F/X.
After leaving the Deutsche Bank, Miguel pursued his career as an advisor and had the opportunity to provide services to banks such as Bank Boston, ABN Amro, Cesce Brasil (Santander Group). He also started to support clients in raising funds.
In 2015, Miguel and his partners founded FX Partners, a financial boutique, whose focus is Foreign Exchange Transactions as well as Credit Facilities, where they provide services for local banks prospecting new clients and transactions.
Arturo Muttoni
Arturo Muttoni, born in Uruguay and grew up in Brazil. He is Advisory Board Member of Global Chamber Joinville, SC (Brazil). For almost 20 years he has been working with export and import, going through different sectors, which gave him a broad view of the MARKET, including logistics, customs clearance, managing EXPORT and IMPORT operations in an industry and within an industrial representative entity. Since 2017 he has been at the head of EXTERIORIZE where he had taught hundreds of entrepreneurs from all over Brazil from several market segments to EXPORT.
Arturo has been successful in Export Outsourcing, International Business Development and Global Business Advisory. Arturo is a graduate of Business Administration in International Trade and also completed a specialization in Foreign Trade and International Commerce Management at Faculdades Rio-Grandenses in Porto Alegre/RS/Brazil. Arturo has a Master degree in Business Administration, focused in Companies Internationalization. Arturo utilizes his international experience along with his multilingual skills to easily adapt to customers and business partners from various cultures and countries.
Braúlio Nunes
Braúlio lives in the city of Pompéu, state of Minas Gerais, which is also his home state, Brazil. Graduated in Management Process Technology from the University of Northern Paraná (Unopar), in Technical Mechanical Drawing by SENAI MG, also graduated as an Electronics Technician by SENAI MG. Braulio has been working as a Marketing Consultant at Leitepéu Nutrição Animal since 2011 and Micapel Slate since 2017. He’s a Digital Marketing Expert, Content Generator, Community Manager, with specialization in Photography, production and edition of images and videos in various sectors (Agribusiness, Ornamental Stones, Sports Modalities, Real Estate Sector, Furniture Sector and Event Promotion). Since 2007, Braulio has been developing projects related to the Internationalization of Ornamental Stones (Slate, Soapstone and Quartzite).
Anne Caroline Alota
Graduated in Business Administration, Anne is a Digital Marketing, Social Media and Front-End Development professional. She worked from 2006 to 2016 as an Operations Coordinator in Events and Services. Anne has also been in charge of the support and organization of small and Mid-Sized Companies on behalf of the commerce, industry and services department of the City of Jaraguá do Sul, SC. One of the main objectives was to promote and disseminate knowledge and management practices focused on increasing competitiveness, know-how and improvement of representativity in local, state and federal spheres. Developing partnerships with the "S" System, mainly SEBRAE-SC and Chambers of Commerce. Anne is curious, empathetic and constantly seeks to know more about people and their learning processes. I have done several trainings in the area, such as: Leader Coach, Enneagram, Designer Thinking, Family Constellation and many others.
Marcelo Franco
Marcelo is an economist, post-graduated in finance and insurance. Managing Partner of TXP Partners, a financial advisor for trade, export, project finance and PPPs' projects, also acting as an insurance broker, exchange rate trader, structured hedge and swap. Former CEO and board member of ABGF S/A (Brazilian Guarantees Agency), state-controlled company, former board member of BB Seguridade S/A, public co., insurance holding controlled by MAPFRE, BANCO DO BRASIL, and private shareholders. Has also run the private export credit insurance company SBCE S/A, a JV of Brazilian insurance companies, BANCO DO BRASIL, BNDES, and COFACE (France) for 15 years, acting as Executive Director, EVP, and head of State Guarantees.
