Biographies

Kevin K. Brown - Managing Director - Diversified Industries Group, BMO Commercial Bank. Kevin is a seasoned commercial banker who brings more than 30 years of experience to BMO’s Commercial Banking Team.  He re-joined BMO (one of the Top 5 Commercial Lenders in North America -- with offices in 32 states and global reach via BMO Capital Markets) in 2010, after spending several years here earlier in his career.  In his current role as a Managing Director & Team Lead of Commercial Banking, Kevin leads a team of commercial banking professionals that is focused on delivering customized banking solutions to privately held companies and non-profit organizations located throughout the Chicago Metropolitan Area (and BMO’s U.S. footprint) – helping these clients to expand their businesses, improve working capital efficiencies, enhance their bottom lines, and increase shareholder value.

With a consultative, relationship-oriented approach and a wide array of industry contacts, Kevin serves as a trusted advisor to his clients in the areas of C&I Lending, Treasury & Payment Solutions, International Banking / Trade Finance Solutions, Capital Markets Solutions, and Leasing.  Current and past clients include manufacturers, wholesalers, distributors, importers / exporters, professional service firms, contractors, transportation & logistics providers, and non-profit organizations.

Kevin holds a Bachelor’s degree with majors in Finance and Marketing from the University of Wisconsin – Madison, where he was a recipient of a full athletic scholarship for football.  He is also active in the community, currently serving as a member of Global Chamber – Chicago’s Advisory Board and Finance Committee – and having served previously as a member of several local chambers of commerce, the school board and finance committee for a local private school, and the City of Geneva’s Master Plan Committee.  He has also served as a youth basketball and football coach, and as a volunteer assistant football coach for North Central College (Naperville, IL). 

Rosy Zarate - Director - Global Transaction Banking, BMO Capital Markets. Rosy over 25 years of professional experience in the financial industry, the last 23 years at BMO-Harris, after working on cross border cash management initiatives and traditional products, joined the Global Trade team where she has been for the last 16 years. Her responsibilities include, servicing small to large size corporate clients with international trade transactions; mitigate risk and structuring International financing solutions.

Ling W. Chang - Founder & CEO, LedgerFunding, Inc. Ling W. Chang is the Founder and CEO of LedgerFunding, Inc. and a member of Global Chamber – Chicago Advisory Board. Ling founded LedgerFunding to democratize the access and choice of working capital solutions - invoice factoring, purchase order financing, supply chain finance - on a funder-agnostic and patented platform to save businesses the time and worries of being matched with reputable commercial finance companies and getting insights to their cash flow.

A lifelong learner, Ling embarked on the entrepreneurial journey after serving as CEO of Stromasys, an award-winning processor emulation software company headquartered in Geneva, Switzerland.  Prior to that, she held engineering, sales and leadership roles at HP Enterprise, CA Technologies, LexisNexis and IBM.

Ling specializes in Blockchain and FinTech &. Ling works best with Small and Medium Enterprises needing working capital financing to grow - fill large orders, expand import or export, meet seasonal demand, relieve cash crunch from delays in customer payment or supply chain.

Lee Fahrenz - Sales Vice President - Minneapolis & Chicago, Allianz Trade. Lee Fahrenz is a Sales Vice President with Allianz Trade (formerly Euler Hermes North America) where he has served for over 18 years. He has 35 years of sales and sales management experience in insurance, banking and finance.  He consults with companies to help manage credit risk, improve financing opportunities and safely expand sales on both a domestic and international basis. He holds professional affiliations with the Secured Finance Network, Turnaround Management Association, NACM Connect, Fabricators & Manufacturers Association, North American Steel Alliance and serves on the board of the Association of Metal Processors & Distributors (AMPD).
