As the Chairman of the Board and President of the Inter-American Defense College Foundation, Ricardo Vanella leads a nonprofit organization that supports the IADC as the premier academic institution in defense and security in the Hemisphere. His mission is to obtain resources and raise awareness of the IADC and its role in fostering collaboration and integration among official institutions, multilateral organizations, NGOs, and the private sector of the Americas.

Ricardo has over 35 years of global and multilingual experience in consultancy services, covering a wide range of industries and regions. He specializes in strategy, international relations, business development, and NGO growth initiatives. He organizes and implements international agendas, as well as trade and political missions. Additionally, Ricardo is a speaker, author, producer, and presenter of various media products on diverse topics. He holds an MBA from Italy, an LLM from Argentina, and certificates from France and the USA. He is a U.S. Department of State alumnus and a William Perry CHDS alumnus at the National Defense University. Passionate about learning and exploring new domains such as physics, cybernetics, astrobiology, geopolitics, sociology, philosophy, and symbology, Ricardo has been awarded the "Knight of the Star Order" by the Italian Government.
