Javier Romeu - Regional Alliance Manager at Safeguard Global

Javier has over 25 years of experience in employment outsourcing, technology and global mobility, through different assignments in Europe, Latin America and the USA. Javier earned a B.S. in Industrial Engineering from Iowa State University, and holds a Masters of Business Administration from the University of Houston.

Michael Patterson - Partner at Spencer Fane LLP. Mike Patterson helps businesses navigate corporate, compliance and securities matters. He has extensive experience in domestic and international mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures, strategic alliances, equity and debt offerings, foreign direct investment, distribution, agency and licensing matters and market entry strategies. He efficiently resolves legal matters by identifying key issues, focusing resources, and executing on a plan. Mike also regularly advises U.S. and foreign clients in connection with the establishment, structuring, and compliance for international operations, including the establishment of international distribution networks. Also known as “Miguel” after a decade-long stint living and working in Central America, he reads, writes, speaks and negotiates in Spanish. In addition, he has done legal work for clients in Canada, Asia, Europe, the Middle East, Africa, Latin America and the Caribbean.

René van Baardewijk - Founder of Rebain International. René is the owner of Rebain International, a chemical trading and distribution company which he started over 20 years ago in New Zealand, and which has expanded to Australia, the Netherlands, Spain, Niger, Venezuela and Uruguay and is exporting to over 100 countries worldwide. Our service is to to be flexible and quick to respond to customers needs and understand the local cultural environment. Living in Barcelona, Spain, René also owns a company active in short term rental business letting owning and managing some chalets in the Pyrenees, Spain. He holds a Master in Business Administration from the Thunderbird School of Global Management(ASU, Arizona, USA)

Moderator: Doug Bruhnke - Founder/CEO of Global Chamber®. Doug is a two-time expat with Dupont in Tokyo and Singapore, and he has worked in nearly every market segment, traveling to over 60 countries.
