A pitch event to connect startups with investors. Startups and Entrepreneurs that present will receive experience in pitching, advise and valuable expert recommendations. The startups will be able to develop relationships to raise money from investors. A unique opportunity to find promising startups. This is a place to create powerful network of connections as well as a presentation of startups to a panel of professionals who represent venture funds, accelerators and investment banks.

POWER PITCH PANEL

 

Annie Thompson - Panel Moderator is the Vice President of Strategic Partnerships at Velocity Global, the leading provider of global employment solutions. Annie has over 15 years of sales, leadership and partnerships experience, specializing in early-    stage to mid-size technology and service companies. As a partnerships executive, she focuses on creating strong alliance networks to grow businesses' brand recognition and increase revenue.

 

Greg Tanner, Founder & Managing Partner Aspen Capital Fund. Greg has first-hand experience in building businesses from the ground up as an entrepreneur.  His roles have been Founder, CEO, and Sales. As the founder of Aspen Capital Fund, Greg, used his comprehensive understanding of business, experience and his professional network to offer his expertise to startups.  He has built one of the only Minority focused startup advisors in the country.  At Aspen Capital Fund he accumulated a broad range of knowledge on fundraising, finance, management, and marketing.   He has extensive experience preparing businesses for first stage investment. Greg has participated as a startup expert with over 60 early stage companies. 

 

Steve Donelson, J.D., LL.M., MBA is a Managing Director at WealthPoint. Steve is an investment banker and corporate attorney with extensive transactional experience. Steve’s extensive experience includes being a founding partner and Managing Director of WealthPoint Investment Bank, LLC, a former a partner at Ballard Spahr, LLP including extensive transactional and succession planning practice. 

 

Ernesto Bent is a Partner at Black House, a M&A Private Equity firm that acquires companies globally. Ernesto is also a capital raiser and the CEO of Versara Financial, LLC where he raises capital for his clients in many industries. Ernesto has first-hand experience in building businesses from the ground up as an entrepreneur as well as acquiring companies. As the founder of Versara Financial, Ernesto uses his expert understanding of business finance coupled with his professional network to be able to raise money for start-ups to private equity funds. 

 

Murat Wahab Founder & Principal at Hakim Saya. Murat is a successful business leader with extensive expertise in commercial and retail banking, hospitality management and sales, not-for-profit management, and connecting venture capitalists, entrepreneurs, funders, lenders, and borrowers utilizing an extensive network built over two decades. Mr. Wahab has a breadth and depth of experience in business banking and financial services in the U.S. and hospitality management experience here and abroad. His banking career began at Wells Fargo, where he held several positions culminating in Vice President andBusiness Relationship Manager. He was responsible for managing the accounts of more than 300 mid-size companies. Mr. Wahab also held management roles with City National Bank(an RBC Company), JP Morgan Chase, East WestBank, and Wells Fargo Bank.

 

 

ELIGIBILTY AND ACCEPTANCE REQUIREMENTS TO PITCH 

 

An investor pitch is a persuasive presentation used to present your company to prospective venture capital, investors or business angels. Important for an investor pitch is to tell the audience a compelling story about your company and its potential to grow and make profits in the future. We are looking for six businesses that are beyond the conceptional stage and have a team committed to the vision. You should have raised less than $100,000 in funding for your business. Applicants are selected based on their business idea, team member’s skills and background and team ability to execute. We consider based on a short summary of your business and a page summary .
