Horasis will convene the 2021 Horasis Global Meeting on 8th June – one of the foremost annual meetings of the world’s leading decision makers from business, government and civil society. Given the COVID-19 pandemic, the event – which is permanently hosted by the Portuguese coastal City of Cascais – will be held as virtual meeting.

Under the theme “Fostering Shared Humanity”, the Horasis community of more than 1000 selected world leaders (including several heads of governments and key ministers) will gather for an unparalleled experience devising novel ideas to navigate through our developments in the post-COVID future. Delegates will debate how to be entrepreneurial and at the same time proactive in advancing sustainable development in the interest of the global public good.

The Horasis Global Meeting will be held at a historic moment in which the world is facing an existential threat from COVID-19 and its emergent variants, an unprecedented global economic downturn, and a dearth of decisive leadership. The aftermath of this pandemic will take years to clear, nations have wracked-up massive sovereign debts to support their disrupted businesses, and many will struggle with a rise in populism. Delegates attending have a rare but brief opportunity to discuss potential solutions for the myriad of disruptions and to propose sustainable pathways that will be led by compassionate leadership on global and local levels.
