Speaker Biographies

Ukraine: Igor Novikov - Former Advisor to President Volodymyr Zelenskyy

Igor Novikov - Is an adviser to President Volodymyr Zelenskyy. Igor brings a unique set of technological, entrepreneurial and policy perspectives to the dialogue of innovation in Eastern Europe. Over the course of two years, Igor’s lectures and workshops attracted an audience of over 150,000 people and he is considered Ukraine’s leading keynote speaker and futurist - a title he readily rejects.

In addition to his work at Singularity University, Igor’s mission is to develop the world's first attention marketplace with his main technology project, Payphone. Igor’s primary research areas explore the convergence of behavioral science, economics and storytelling and include his concepts of Gamified Transfer of Learning and Dynamic Motivation.

Before Payphone and Singularity University, Igor founded for-profit and social impact organizations in a range of domains including: artificial intelligence, peer to peer lending, blockchain, human rights, international development, carbon offsetting, and solar energy. Igor has a degree in law from the London School of Economics and Political Science.

 

Romania: Dorin Munteanu, Chair of the Board of Directors & President, Romanian-American Chamber of Commerce in Washington, D.C.

Dorin has 15+ years of business and policy research experience. He is the Chairman of Transilvania Group, a Washington, DC-based business management and policy advisory firm. Dorin also serves as a Managing Partner at uRADMonitor network, an Internet of Things (IoT) and Big Data solution, as well as the President of the Romanian American Chamber of Commerce, in Washington, D.C., as a Research Fellow at the Religious Freedom and Business Foundation and as an Advisory Board Member to AlphaTech, an initiative designed to engage with promising CEOs of emerging growth companies within the cybersecurity, big data and analytics industries. Dorin has been a Research Associate at The Center for European Policy Analysis (CEPA) and Researcher at TD International, both organizations based in Washington, D.C.. Dorin holds degrees from Babeș-Bolyai University of Cluj-Napoca, Romania, and the School of International Service at American University. He is fluent in Romanian, Spanish, Italian, and Hungarian, and proficient in French.

 

Bulgaria: Eliz Nestorov, President at US-Bulgarian Chamber in America, Washington, D.C.

Eliz is the President of the US-Bulgarian Chamber in America headquartered in Washington, D.C. She brings over twenty years of experience in leading campaigns and assisting non-profit community-based organizations and social enterprises achieve program effectiveness and financial sustainability. Eliz is Bulgarian-American prominent lobbyist, consultant and public figure in the State of Pennsylvania and its capital. In addition, she is the Chief Executive Officer with AKAEVA Consulting , a Pennsylvania based social enterprise providing  strategies for effective communication to individuals and businesses.  Eliz is active in several local, national and international nonprofit organizations and associations, serving as Treasurer with the World Affairs Council of Harrisburg, Board member with U.S. Global Leadership Coalition for Pennsylvania, Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Committee member with Women in International Trade DC Chapter,  the European Center for Transport Policies, the International Society of Female Professionals, American Business Women’s Association, Philanthropic and Community Engagement Coordinator with International Association for Women, DC Chapter, and the Bulgarian Cultural Center of Central Pennsylvania. Eliz is fluent in Bulgarian, Turkish, Russian, and proficient in German.

Serbia: Milivoje Jovanović - Executive Director of Global Chamber® Belgrade

Milivoje Jovanović is Program Manager and Co-founder of ENECA (Economic Expert Community Association) and Executive Director of Global Chamber® Belgrade. GC Belgrade is a start-up, ramping up.

As one of the founders of NGO ENECA in 2005, Milivoje specialized in providing consulting and mentoring services and delivering grants/donations for the establishment of business start-ups and SMEEs in Serbia. Projects that ENECA implemented are based on the concept of sustainable development, taking into account alignment with national and local strategies, as well as international standards. ENECA has supported establishment and development of 2800 businesses, employed 6000 people, provided 2500 business and vocational trainings and conducted mentoring for 1500 SMEES.

Milivoje has also worked for international organization such as OSCE and German NGO HELP and as Co-founder and Program Manager of ENECA. He has experience in working and cooperating with international organizations such as UNDP, UNOPS, GIZ, USAID, EU Delegation in Serbia, CARE, Danish Refugee Council, HELP-Hilfe zur Selbshilfe, IOM, World Bank, EBRD and foreign Embassies in Serbia.

After getting BA diploma in Business Administration on Faculty of Economics, University of Nis, Serbia, he also graduated University of Sheffield, United Kingdom, and gained the title of Executive MBA, with specialization in Finance. Milivoje has over 7 years of experience in banking sector working with SMEs as Corporate Relationship Manager in Societe Generale Bank Serbia and Relationship Manager for MID Market in UniCredit Bank Serbia.

Courtney is editor-in-chief of Investment Monitor (www.InvestmentMonitor.ai), a digital publication focused on foreign direct investment which launched in September 2020 and is part of GlobalData plc.
