ABOUT OUT SPEAKERS

1. Dr. Komi Klu

Dr. Komi S. Klu is currently the Chairman and Chief Risk Officer of EMIGROUP [Emerging Markets Invest Group] which works in 30 African markets. He is a well-respected Financial Services Executive and investment facilitator with over 20 years of proven success in promoting financial and operational efficiency for large global financial institutions. These include Capital One Finance and HSBC Bank where he has held management positions overseeing Corporate Due Diligence, Risk Management, and Claims Processing Operations. Concurrently, as Chief Investment & Risk Officer of EMIGROUP, Komi is providing leadership and consulting services, assisting African companies in building solutions for large-scale, complex business challenges to mitigate risks and drive investment and growth opportunities.

Komi has earned a reputation for the innovative and strategic leadership he brings to the financial services industry, as well as to global humanitarian initiatives. He is currently the board chairman of WAFI CAPITAL, SA a private Equity firm operating in West Africa, raising funds from investors in North America and Europe.
Komi is based in Dover, Delaware, and makes frequent trips to his native Ghana. He is also an active member of the Global Chamber®, both in Anglophone and Francophone countries.

2. Felix Afeti

Mr. Felix Afeti is the Founding Director of Liwuet Services to provide Business Development Consultancy Services. We work with entrepreneurs to model commercial viability of their business ideas. We package SMEs and NGOs to attract funding by formulating their Business/Concepts, Project Proposals and Business Plans. We partner and facilitate activities of International Brands and companies that want to do business in Ghana.

Felix has excellent blend of experience from public and private sector management skills having worked as a staff and consultant for key state institutions and private sector IT and Finance entities.

Felix as a Consultant for UNHCR, Ghana has trained and coached over 60 businesses of African refugees living in Ghana. He also serves as a Management Consultant to Rural Enterprises Program (funded by Government of Ghana, IFAD and African Development Bank) to foster the growth of local businesses. He has modelled major projects across industries in Ghana, Liberia and Sierra Leone. Felix has the passion to use Sustainable Business Growth Model to support Financial Management, Marketing, Taxation and Regulatory Compliance and Choice of IT Tools for a Business and integrate them into a Business Plan for a company to attract funding to expand. He modelled a commercial goat project certified under One District One Factory flagship project for the Ghana government. Felix has opportunity to work with other companies and individuals in USA, India, Canada, Germany and most countries in Africa.

Felix holds MBA (International Business Management), India; MBA(Finance), Ghana; Graduate Diploma, Project Management, Germany; Postgraduate Diploma in Advanced Computing, C-DAC, India; BSc (Hons.) Kwame Nkrumah University Science and Technology University, Kumasi, Ghana; Certified Project Manager (Prince 2), UK; Six Sigma and other trainings with World Bank and ILO. His research interest includes business innovation and process development, entrepreneurship and sustainable business growth models to attract international and domestic funding.
