Biographies

Karan Gupta 

Director of Business Development at Premier Road Carriers Ltd.

Karan was born and raised in Mumbai, though he was fortunate to have experienced studying and living in different cities, having done his High School from Bangalore, India – Undergraduate Degree from Nottingham University, United Kingdom and finally having completed his MBA from Babson College, Boston USA. Currently, he works as a Director- Business Development for Premier Road Carriers. They are a family-run organization with over 50 years of industry presence in providing surface transportation on a Pan-India basis.  His role is to drive the company forward to meet their vision of being a 4PL – essentially a one-stop-shop for all logistics needs. Serious stuff aside, he is a Fitness and Movement Enthusiast (Certified Fitness and Sports Nutrition Coach with active interest in Capoeira- Martial Arts ) and an Adventure Junkie (Advanced Scuba Diver with active interest in Skiing/Snow Boarding and Mountaineering).

Devapriya is a Brand and Business Coach and Consultant and the Founder of 2 ventures, 212 Degrees (a brand consultancy firm – www.212deg.com) and Connexus (a community bringing together business owners, entrepreneurs and corporate leaders – www.theconnexushub.com) Her mission is to help those who have focus on bold career goals, but need strategic guidance and skill enhancement in getting there. She coaches individuals to help them build their personal brand and develop leadership, communication and executive presence. she also consults enterprises, especially startups and small businesses on branding and business performance. Devapriya is a Reach Certified Personal Brand Consultant, a John Mattone IL certified leadership coach and a NABET and SQA certified soft skills trainer. Her specialisation is to support individuals and enterprises deliver brand impact and business efficiency, in order to stand out, be noticed, attain top of mind recall and be the brand of choice for their target audience. Her coaching and consulting formats include workshops and 1:1 sessions, with personal branding and business acceleration methodologies at the core. In her pre-entrepreneurial experience, she has dedicated 18 years to organizations such as Nestle, GE, ICICI Prudential and Carlsberg in various roles in marketing and business management. During her corporate career, she has helped launch, build and nurture powerful global brands that have won consumer confidence and delivered outstanding business results. Her current practice, therefore, leans heavily on the real-life experience that she has garnered during these 18 years, which she blends into her certified coaching programs. Hence, delivering excellence in client experience through empathy is her key differentiator. In her journey, Devapriya has received several awards and accolades for her commendable contribution towards the cause of supporting women entrepreneurs.

Doug is a two-time ex-pat with Dupont in Tokyo and Singapore with 35 years of global business experience in nearly all countries and segments. He is a regional advisor for the U.S. Global Leadership Coalition and a member of Arizona District Export Council and other organizations.

Doug has a B.S. in Chemical Engineering from the University of Utah, an EMBA from Michigan State University, and is co-inventor on 5 patents. He was born in Mount Kisco, NY, and is based in Scottsdale and Palo Alto. He's been married 40 years and has a daughter and grandson.
