Francis Tesmer is a global entrepreneur and philanthropist. With over 25 years of outstanding international business, leadership and humanitarian commitment, Francis Tesmer’s inspiring professional journey reflects her lifelong passion for social justice, economic growth, affordable education, and commitment to making the world a better place.
Tesmer’s global career began with her leadership role in her family’s companies, primarily focused on international oil, shipping and logistics and development. As a young leader, Tesmer was almost always the only woman involved in key decisions, and this shaped her lifelong passion for women’s empowerment.
Throughout her distinguished global career, particularly in her prominent role as the President of the United Nation World Trade Point Federation (WTPF) of Hamburg, Germany, Tesmer has and continues to play an instrumental role in forging uniquely lucrative and long-lasting partnerships in the international arena by successfully enabling companies to take their concepts, products and services to the global market.
With her passion for feminism, Tesmer continues to advance women’s access to education, economic opportunity, and professional enrichment to end the systematic misogyny that depresses women’s wages, degree attainment, and upward social mobility.
As part of an ongoing mission to educate, support and empower women, with over a decade of substantial investment, Tesmer has launched the first ever Associates of Applied Science in Beauty and Wellness, and Bachelor of Applied Science in Health, Entrepreneurship, and Innovation with an emphasis on personal care, creating generational transformation for the beauty industry workforce of 8 million (over 90% women). `
Tesmer has partnered with global beauty giant, L’Oréal, (L’Oréal USA PPD), and prestigious colleges and universities to launch this innovative, modern, cost-effective higher education degree program in multiple countries, creating leaders for the future of the most powerful, and fastest growing industries in the world, the beauty industry.
Although appearance and style are to be admired and celebrated, Francis believes the beauty industry has a responsibility to do so much more than just focus on outward appearance. Tesmer strongly believes the world of beauty must also educate and empower women to build self-esteem by honoring their inner beauty, power, and impact, creating happier, safer, and financially rewarding lives. Tesmer is clear-eyed about how the over $500-billion-dollar beauty industry has the highest obligation to positively impact the world and its workforce, overwhelmingly made up of women.
