Kevin Engel - Executive Vice President, Business Units

Kevin Engel was appointed Executive Vice President, Business Units in February 2023. Prior to assuming his current position, Mr. Engel served as our Corporate Vice President of Flip Chip and Wafer Services Business Unit. Mr. Engel joined Amkor in 2004 as part of the acquisition of Unitive Electronics and has held various management positions within Amkor US and Taiwan. Prior to joining Amkor, Mr. Engel worked in engineering at National Semiconductor and has held various positions in the semiconductor manufacturing and packaging industry for more than 27 years. Mr. Engel holds a Bachelor of Chemical Engineering from Auburn University.

Mr. Hoang Anh Tuan - Consul General of Vietnam in San Francisco

Ambassador Hoang Anh Tuan is Consul General of Viet Nam Consulate General in San Francisco, California, the United States of America, for a 3-year term of service, starting from November 28th, 2022. Prior to assuming this position, Ambassador Tuan served various positions such as Vice President of the Diplomatic Academy of Vietnam, Deputy Secretary- General of ASEAN for Political-Security Community and the Ambassador of Viet Nam to Indonesia and concurrently the non-resident Ambassador of Viet Nam to Papua New Guinea and Timor- Leste. Ambassador Tuan carries with him over 31 years of experience, serving various appointments at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Viet Nam both as a diplomat and a researcher.

 

Van Le - Investment Counselor at the Embassy of Viet Nam

With nearly 30 years of experience in the field of foreign investment, I am currently an Investment Counselor at the Embassy of Viet Nam in the USA, where I advise and assist potential investors, business partners, and policymakers on the opportunities and challenges of doing business in Viet Nam. I have a PhD in Economics from Trinity College Dublin, and I use my analytical skills and economic knowledge to provide data-driven insights and recommendations on various sectors, industries, and markets. Previously, I was a Deputy Director General and a Director of Analysis and Information at the Foreign Investment Agency of Viet Nam, where I contributed to the development and implementation of the national strategies and policies on attracting and managing foreign investment. I am passionate about promoting Viet Nam's economic interests and enhancing its integration and cooperation with the global community. I value diversity, innovation, and collaboration, and I seek to leverage my expertise and experience to support the Embassy's mission and vision.

 

Doug Bruhnke - founder and CEO of Global Chamber®

Doug is a global entrepreneur, connector, trade advocate, speaker and author dedicated to growing Global Chamber® and helping members reach new markets and gain new clients across metros and borders more successfully. He retired from the Dupont Company after expatriate assignments in Tokyo and Singapore, and he has over 37 years of global trade experience working with clients in nearly every market segment including automotive, aerospace, industrial, healthcare, life sciences, semiconductor and technology. Currently his memberships include Global Chamber®, the Arizona District Export Council, the U.S. Global Leadership Coalition and the Thunderbird Global Alumni Network (TGAN) Advisory Council. He's a German-Polish American living in the U.S. who has 5 U.S. patents and an education that includes a BS in Chemical Engineering from the University of Utah and an EMBA from Michigan State University.

Parking is available at street meters all around the downtown ASU campus. There are many spots available at this time of day, and it’s at the regular rate of $3/h. Also consider the parking garages nearby, which are $20. The AZ Republic Parking is adjacent to the building, though remember that you'll need to come around to the 1st Street side via Polk Street for the main entrance to Thunderbird.
