Chris Bennett - Creative Director, Housebrands
Chris has over 20 years’ top-level, creative/strategic brand communications experience for start-ups, SMEs and blue chips. Having started his career as a brand packaging designer in fmcg, today his design and strategic skills embrace a wide range of industries and disciplines both in the UK and internationally, including: consumer facing brands, business-to-business, internal communications, change management programmes, corporate identity, place brands, finance and manufacturing.
He has successfully delivered projects for a diverse client base including: American Express, Lamprey Energy (US), London & Partners, Marks & Spencer, Sainsbury’s, Serco and Standard Bank.
Chris is a founding partner of brand and communications agency Housebrands, has a BA Hons in Graphic Design and is a member of the Chartered Institute of Designers.

Fenella McCarthy - Strategic Director, Housebrands
Fenella has over 20 years’ experience in the brand and communications industry gained across a range of different sectors both in the UK and internationally, including fmcg, business-to-business, retail, tourism, charity, finance, agriculture, professional associations, manufacturing, telecoms and education.
She has helped develop brands for a diverse range of clients such as Big Brothers and Sisters, Vodafone, Smiths Engineering, NatWest, GE, Nutreco, Pot Noodles, Play-doh, London & Partners, London Zoo, Vodafone, The Isle of Man, Northern Ireland, Birmingham University and Farm Tourism South West.
Research has always played a crucial part in her work. She began her career in qualitative research and has conducted interviews and workshops with a variety of audiences around the world, including artists in Zambia, Government Ministers in the Dominican Republic, business managers in Egypt, consumers in China and animal lovers in the UK.
Her projects have encompassed the development of brands in the broadest sense, from initial perception studies through to developing communications plans and marketing materials. This experience includes brand definition, NPD, corporate and brand identity, naming, communications planning and implementation (creating material such as brand books, DVDs and advertising).
More recently, she realised that accessing expert brand consultancy is out of the financial reach of many smaller organisations and so, launched Housebrands Toolkits which provides online brand development expertise at a price even the leanest business can afford.
Fenella is a founding partner of brand and communications agency Housebrands, has an MA in Politics, Philosophy and Economics from Worcester College, Oxford and is a Full Member of the Market Research Society.

She holds a Bachelor of Arts in English from Kenyon College and an MBA from Wake Forest University School of Business as well as a variety of certificates ranging from high performance mindset to crisis communications from institutions including Yale University, the Department of Homeland Security, and IDEO.
She is a Double Drucker, having placed within the Top Ten two years in a row for the Peter Drucker Challenge, sponsored by the Global Peter Drucker Forum. In November 2018, she traveled to Vienna in November to accept the award and contribute to a panel moderated by the Management Editor with the Financial Times.
In the last five years, she crossed the Carrick-a-Rede rope bridge in Northern Ireland, took in Vienna from the top of St. Stephen's Cathedral and London from the top of St. Paul's Cathedral as well as hiked in Jackson Hole, Sedona, Montana, and Maine.
She is a new member of the Daughters of the American Revolution - family research proved Daniel Decker, her great-grandfather x8, served patriotic service for the state of New Jersey in the war for Independence.
