Tom will outline the current state of the global supply chain, outlining uncertainty and disruption with a special focus on tariffs and trade. He will then do a deep dive on the methodologies available for risk, spend and tariff mitigation with the ultimate goal of achieving sustainability and resilience in your import and export operations, logistics, procurement, manufacturing and supply chain.
 
The session will allow the audience to participate, comment and ask questions as Tom navigates the delivery of his presentation.
 
The presenter is a seasoned expert on spend and risk management in the global supply chain.  He now has 21 books on global trade, the newest to be published this year, Trade Disruption in the Face of Tariffs.

Thomas Cook - International Managing Director of Blue Tiger International (bluetigerintl.com)

Business consultancy advising on supply chain management, trade compliance, purchasing,
trade and disruption management, global business and logistics. Tom was former CEO of
American River International in NY and Apex Global Logistics Supply Chain Operation in LA. He is a member of the NY District Export Council and serves on the board of directors of the National Association of District Export Councils (NADEC). Blue Tiger International is a strategic partner of the US Department of Commerce. Tom has written more than 20 books on global trade, the latest scheduled for publication in fall 2025 entitled “Managing and Mitigating the Impact of Tariffs, Pandemics, and Trade Disruptions in the Global Supply Chain.”
