Bon Om Touk (Cambodia)

Bon Om Touk, or the Cambodian Water Festival, means "Boat Paddling Festival" and celebrates the end of the rainy season and the unique reversal of the Tonle Sap River's current. It is a three-day national holiday featuring boat races to honor naval victories from the 12th century and to give thanks for the prosperity that follows the monsoon season. The festival is also a celebration of Cambodian culture through traditional food, prayers, and offerings.
