Veteran’s Day
Veterans Day is on November 11th to commemorate the armistice that ended World War I, which went into effect at the 11th hour of the 11th day of the 11th month in 1918. Originally called Armistice Day, the holiday was renamed Veterans Day in 1954 to honor American veterans of all wars, both living and deceased. It is a day to thank and recognize the service of all those who have served in the United States Armed Forces.
