Feast of Saint Andrew

The Feast of Saint Andrew, celebrated on November 30th, honors the Apostle Andrew, who was the brother of Saint Peter. The feast marks the end of the church year and the beginning of Advent. It commemorates Andrew's role as the "First Disciple" who introduced his brother to Jesus, his evangelistic work around the Black Sea, and his martyrdom by crucifixion on an X-shaped cross.
