AI is not limited by chips anymore. It is limited by power.

Join Paul Charles, Co-Chair of NAATBatt’s Energy Storage & Data Center Committee, for a discussion on Grid Law™ and why power delivery now determines where AI can scale. As data centers move toward gigawatt demand, batteries and grid access are becoming strategic infrastructure, not support equipment.

Abstract
AI is reshaping global infrastructure at unprecedented speed. But the constraint on AI growth is no longer silicon. It is power delivery.

As AI data centers move toward gigawatt scale, regional grid access, interconnection timelines, energy storage integration, and time-to-power now determine where AI capacity can actually be deployed. In many markets, compute capital is available, but power is not.

In this session, Paul Charles introduces Grid Law™: the reality that power delivery, not compute capability, now sets the ceiling on AI scale. Drawing from real-world deployments, the discussion examines:

  • Why time-to-power is becoming the primary gating factor in AI infrastructure
  • How batteries have shifted from backup systems to enabling infrastructure
  • What this means for global competitiveness, capital allocation, and industrial policy
  • How AI data centers are evolving into industrial-scale energy platforms

This session is designed for executives, investors, policymakers, and infrastructure leaders navigating the intersection of AI, energy, and global economic development.
