Globinar Trade Without Friction: Connecting East African Trade and Logistics Corridors

Date: April 23, 2026

Globinar Trade Without Friction: Connecting East African Trade and Logistics Corridors (Pre-Event Ahead of Africa Forward 2026)

Thursday, 23 April 2026
17:00 Paris (CEST) | 18:00 Nairobi (EAT) | One Hour

Keynote Speaker: Ndeye Babou, CEO of LUUMA Africa

Why This Globinar, Why Now

Africa Forward 2026, the Africa-France Partnerships for Innovation and Growth Summit, will be held in Nairobi on 11 and 12 May 2026, co-chaired by the Presidents of France and Kenya, with African heads of state in attendance. The summit's Business Forum on 11 May will spotlight France-Africa economic partnerships and promote private sector projects across both continents. It builds directly on the Summit on the Financing of African Economies (Paris, 2021), the New Global Financing Pact (Paris, 2023), and the Africa Climate Summit (Nairobi, 2023).

Our April 23 globinar is positioned as a deliberate warm-up to that moment: focused, practical, and designed to prime exactly the kind of European-East African trade and logistics conversation that Africa Forward will amplify at the summit level. We intend to use it to identify engaged participants, surface specific corridor challenges, and build the relationships that will carry forward beyond May.

Globinar Program

The session follows a structured one-hour format:

Segment 1 | Ground Realities of Logistics to East Africa (10 min)
The structural complexity of international logistics chains serving the region, the multiplicity of actors, coordination failures, delays, cost overruns, and the specific barriers facing companies seeking to export to East Africa.

Segment 2 | Limits of the Traditional Logistics Model (15 min)
Fragmented operational structures, siloed information flows, opacity on costs and transit times, difficulty identifying reliable Africa-experienced logistics partners, and risk management that remains largely manual and reactive.

Segment 3 | The Digital Transformation of Logistics (15 min)
How digitalization, data centralization, automation, and artificial intelligence are reshaping how goods move, reducing friction, and giving exporters and freight managers greater operational control and visibility.

Segment 4 | LUUMA Africa's Approach and Concrete Solutions (10 min)
Matchmaking with vetted, project-adapted logistics partners, identification of optimized corridors to East Africa, centralized documentation and information flows, and AI-accelerated, transparent logistics between Europe and Africa.

Closing | Q&A, Participant Exchange, and Closing Remarks (5 min)
Moderated by Moses Koyabe, with a structured exchange to identify specific participant needs and next steps ahead of Africa Forward.

Target Audience

Exporters, logistics operators, trade facilitators, investors, and policymakers with Europe-East Africa interests, exactly the community that the KIICO pipeline themes speak to, and exactly the community that Africa Forward will convene at scale in May.
