Janice earned her first real estate broker's license in Arizona in the early 1980's and obtained her degree in Business/Real Estate from Arizona State University. After graduating, Janice interned for 16 months with major real estate firms throughout Europe. She went on to sell real estate in her hometown of Casper, Wyoming, for eight years. She later obtained her real estate broker's license in Hawaii in 1991. She was the broker-in-charge of a five-office luxury real estate firm. She later became an owner and principal broker of Re/Max Honolulu. She is currently a broker with Russ Lyon Sotheby's International Realty in Scottsdale, Arizona.

Her career spans senior leadership roles in both private enterprises and publicly traded companies, as well as mission driven non-profit initiatives. In addition to her real estate practice, she serves as a Director for The CCIM Institute Foundation, The CCIM Institute, the Philippines Canada Trade Council, and the Rotary Club of Vancouver Fraserview.
