Arizona-Argentina: Sunday, Sep 27 – Friday, Oct 2, 2026 

The mission seeks to exchange information to initiate trade initiatives between Arizona and Argentina. Included will be discussions of Arizona’s economic and logistics ecosystem, including its growth as a regional platform for transportation, distribution, advanced manufacturing, and new production chains, as well as a strategic approach to the dynamics of the southern border, given its relevance to trade, the movement of goods, and logistics.

The key visitor is Sergio Aladio, a leader who personally and through his organizations is gateway to Santa Fe, Argentina logistics, workforce, agro-industrial, transportation, and infrastructure ecosystem. Santa Fe can become a partner for Arizona in a nearshoring and friendshoring strategy. Attendees from the State of Sante Fe will include 6 business leaders and journalists.

Santa Fe is not a small regional market. The Rosario/Santa Fe corridor north of Buenos Aires is one of the most important agro-export and logistics hubs in the Western Hemisphere. Gran Rosario is the world's leading agro-industrial export hub – surpassing New Orleans.

The Greater Rosario port complex is consistently recognized as one of the leading global hubs for grain, meal, and vegetable oil exports. In practical terms, this is one of the world's major food, agricultural, livestock, river-port, logistics, and transportation corridors.

Arizona is not simply receiving a labor and transportation leader. Arizona is opening a relationship with a strategic trade gateway into Argentina’s real operating economy — agriculture, logistics, trucking, workforce, infrastructure, ports, food exports, and productive development. Welcome to opportunity.

Arizona will be able to explore technology transfer and business opportunities in livestock logistics, cattle transportation traceability, fleet monitoring, road safety, cold-chain logistics, driver training, insurance, transport data, and supply-chain visibility.

As a natural continuation, we envision the possibility of exploring a reciprocal visit to Santa Fe with North American stakeholders, aimed at generating concrete knowledge of the Rosario logistics node and opening sustained channels for investment, institutional cooperation, and joint development.

A stage of this nature would require interlocutors with real capacity for territorial coordination and fluid dialogue with the authorities and productive sectors of Santa Fe. We trust that your trajectory could make a significant contribution.

Trade Summary

Trade between the United States and Argentina totals roughly US$30B annually, with the U.S. maintaining a structural trade surplus. 

Bilateral commerce surged following the signing of the U.S.–Argentina Agreement on Reciprocal Trade and Investment (ARTI), which slashed tariffs, eliminated import licensing, and expanded market access both ways.

• U.S. Exports to Argentina: Machinery, refined petroleum, organic chemicals, plastic, mixed mineral/chemical fertilizers, and telcom.
• U.S. Imports from Argentina: Mineral fuels (crude petroleum), aluminum, gold, steel, meat (beef), and wine.

Trade between Arizona and Argentina centers on agricultural products, industrial machinery, and energy, heavily impacted by the U.S.–Argentina Agreement on Reciprocal Trade and Investment. 

Arizona exports technology and manufactured goods, while Argentina primarily supplies raw agricultural goods—a dynamic sparking significant local debate among Arizona ranchers. Key trade components include: 

• Beef & Agriculture: The bilateral trade framework opened Argentina's market to U.S. live cattle and poultry. In return, discussions about importing more Argentine beef into the U.S. are an issue with Arizona ranchers, though they offer investment opportunities.
• Industrial & Medical Equipment: Under the reciprocal trade agreement, Argentina provides preferential access for U.S. medical devices, information technology products, and machinery.
• Energy, Mining, Lithium & Critical Minerals: Arizona imports substantial amounts of crude petroleum, raw aluminum, and gold from Argentina, while Argentina buys refined petroleum and mixed fertilizers from the U.S. Resources open more doors to new opportunities.
• Data Centers: This is a growing area of opportunity in Argentina.
• Logistics: ELD Systems and all kinds of current tracking, technology and shipping infrastructure are the bases of new opportunities.
• Economic Development: The GPEC model is of interest by the City of Rosario and is another opportunity for further collaboration.
