Globinar What's Up in Global Law
The AI & Law Series: AI Impact by Sector

Artificial intelligence isn't a future question for the legal industry anymore — it's a present-day operational reality reshaping how lawyers work, how businesses protect what they build, and how risk gets managed across borders.

This three-part Globinar series takes you from where things stand today, to what it means sector by sector, to what to actually do about it.

Free. Global. Open to all — no legal background required.

Speakers:

Antonia (Toni) Dumas, Esq. – Privacy, Cyber & AI Governance

Toni Dumas is a DC Bar privacy, cyber and AI governance attorney, consultant, and founder with more than 20 years of experience in and alongside professional services businesses, from boutique and mid-sized law firms to Deloitte Global. Having lived, studied, and worked in the US and Europe, and within global organizations, she brings a cross-cultural perspective. She works with the people responsible for how technology is used in their organizations, from executives to solo founders. She helps them understand how their technology and data support their operations and goals, and take practical steps to protect what they've built, including the trust of their clients. As founder of Data Risk Group LLC, Toni provides AI governance and data governance, risk, and compliance (GRC) consulting, both directly with clients and through strategic partners.

She is also Director of Responsible AI & Governance at Data Strategy Lab, where she collaborates with the AI strategy and engineering teams on client AI builds, with a focus on law firms and associations. In addition, she contributes subject matter expertise to AI research projects. Toni is passionate about sharing knowledge, resources, and solutions that help business leaders take charge of their own data practices. She teaches workshops, CLE programs, and law school courses on privacy and cybersecurity, including through community organizations such as IAPP, ISACA, and The Upskilling Labs. That same focus led her to co-found Data Pilots, Inc., which helps leaders become their own "data pilots" with the understanding and everyday practices they need to protect their data, their business, and ultimately the trust in their brand.
