Taiwan Tech Day at Thunderbird (Phoenix)

Taiwan Tech Day

Co-hosted by Thunderbird School of Global Management at Arizona State University

With Taiwan’s Industrial Technology Research Institute (ITRI)

ITRI’s delegation will be in Arizona in connection with the 2026 R&D 100 Awards, where three of its technologies are being recognized. With Arizona emerging as a major hub for Taiwan-linked advanced manufacturing and semiconductor investment, ITRI specifically selected Phoenix for this engagement as an opportunity to connect its innovation ecosystem with Arizona’s business, technology, investment, academic, and economic-development communities.

The afternoon will include:

• Opening remarks from Thunderbird and ITRI leadership
• A keynote on U.S.–Taiwan technology and investment trends
• Presentations from ITRI’s R&D 100 Award-winning technology teams and an ITRI spin-off
• A moderated conversation exploring opportunities at the intersection of technology, investment, trade, and innovation
• Opportunities to connect with ITRI representatives and members of Arizona’s broader innovation ecosystem

The program should be particularly relevant to leaders working in or around semiconductors, advanced manufacturing, technology, R&D, sustainability, international trade and investment, venture capital, economic development, and U.S.–Taiwan business relations.
