Diversity & Global Business

PAST GC EVENTS         HISTORIC CHALLENGES      WHAT WE DO DIFFERENTLY

Global Chamber has representation in and across 525 worldwide metros provide a natural demographic of business leaders who come from Africa, the Americas, Asia, Australia, Europe, and the Middle East. Our members are capable in growing across borders, and do they are naturally diverse... knowing that a diverse team is essential with successful global business.

Wish to grow globally? You better have a team that is diverse to handle the wide spectrum of what comes next, to navigate different laws, cultures, languages and person difference. Non-diverse teams struggle. It's not a political issue... it's good business to be diverse.

Diversity creates innovation, resilience, flexibility, growth... and SUCCESS.

Members thrive because our virtual and real environments are of the trusted community that enables us to work across borders, boundaries and address educational, economic and social barriers through restorative justice, equity, and inclusion as tangible and significant business benefits.

Global Chamber® appropriately tracks progress by regularly measuring and assessing efforts of our Global Team on bias, cultural competence, and inclusive practices.  We have daily events all over the world with topics and speakers who challenge the members and our guest to ensure leadership commitment and buy-in of the Global Chamber's mission.

WE PROBLEM-SOLVE TOUGH GLOBAL ISSUES

Global Chamber® addresses issues of equity by hosting events that are naturally equitable... bringing everyone to the table.

Examples include our Global Diaspora discussions that address the path forward to assist markets negatively impacted from the harms of slavery. We have schedule opportunities on the United State Holiday of JUNETEENTH by uniting business leaders in Africa, North America, South America and the Carribean Islands to encourage doing business together.

The Global Chamber® also leads events for International Women's Day, a set of signature events. In 2023, we held virtual conversation with women discussing their entrepreneurship story, immigration journey, and impacts they wish to achieve.  In 2024, our chamber leaders were asked to partake in DREAMWEEK events during the MLK Holiday that addressed compassion and how that relates to equity.  For major holidays that address issues of equity, Global Chamber® has made a conscious choice to remain open for business to focus on the heart of these rallying points.

Global Chamber® is the talk of the business community because we show companies how to connect with customers worldwide.

In the past, there were various obstacles and challenges for a business to become international.  With the invention of the internet, and now with the new age of AI, inclusion means knowing, respecting and communicating effectively with people that business owners, or their employees are not comfortable or familiar.  We teach them through events that reinforce good behaviors and making every member have access as equals. Global Chamber® promotes Inclusion through regional Virtual Global Dining Events - teaching about region world history, food, arts, cultural as an icebreaker for our members who enjoy learning or may be traveling on business to these areas.

Our dining events have lowered the fear of different cultures and increased the success of business travel because through warm connections people become trusted associates, friends and supporters.  Through Global Chamber® Metro Meetups, all people are welcomed to introduce themselves, talk about their business and discover business opportunities.

Global Chamber® has continued to ensure women in business feel welcomed at the business table or board table. Through our Women in Leadership Series, women have a peer-to-peer opportunity to connect globally and learn from each other.  While diversity is about representation, inclusion ensures that everyone feels valued and has an equal voice.

Global Chamber® creates an environment where all businesses, regardless of their backgrounds, can thrive. We foster a sense of belonging and encourages collaboration.

Global Chamber® addresses Unconscious Bias: Even in diverse settings, unconscious biases persist. These biases can affect decision-making, sharing business opportunities, hiring, promotions, and team dynamics. Global Chamber® provides training events and awareness to mitigate these biases.  We go as far to educate to our Young Global Leaders and volunteer interns, Global Chamber® calls Volunterns,  to put international trade and business into the proper perspectives of valuing people as we grow state-of-the-art global businesses.
