April 16, 2024 - In a strategic move to bolster its growth and leadership, Global Chamber® Barcelona is pleased to announce that René van Baardewijk has accepted the role of chairperson of its advisory board. René is the owner of Rebain International, a chemical trading and distribution company that he started 26 years ago in New Zealand, and which has expanded to Australia, the Netherlands, Spain, Niger, Venezuela, and Uruguay and is exporting to over 100 countries worldwide. Residing in Barcelona, René, alongside his wife and business partner, Kirenia van Baardewijk Caballero, also co-owns a thriving company specializing in tourist rentals across Barcelona and the Pyrenees, Spain, as well as in Belgium, The Netherlands, Greece, Guatemala, and Cuba. Their joint efforts have been instrumental in the success and global reach of both enterprises. René's longstanding collaboration with Global Chamber® and his academic achievements, including a Master in Business Administration from Thunderbird School of Global Management, further underscore his exemplary leadership and vision.
René van Baardewijk's appointment comes at a pivotal time for Global Chamber® Barcelona as the organization is expanding its influence and membership across the region. René’s proven track record in fostering growth and his expansive network across Europe, Africa, and LATAM position him as a key figure in future initiatives. His role will involve spearheading efforts to attract new members and develop bespoke services that cater to the diverse needs of the Global Chamber® growing community.
