New York, NY --- August 31, 2022 -- The Global Chamber New York City is pleased to announce two new advisory board members Matthew Lee Sawyer and Jeffrey Smith. Sawyer has a new book Make It In America – How International Companies and Entrepreneurs Can Successfully Enter and Scale in U.S. Markets launching in November, and Smith is COO of Factum Global, an international consulting firm focused on helping organizations accelerate their international growth, profitably. Factum Global will release the results of its new bi-annual business sentiment survey in early October.
The Global Chamber NYC Chapter hosts monthly meetups usually occurring on the third Thursday of each month at 5 pm et. Also on a recurring basis, we host globinars on topics that are educational to our members regarding export and import, doing business globally and connecting with members of our virtual community of top-level executives around the world. Our next regional globinar is scheduled for September 22 at 1 pm ET,
Matthew Lee Sawyer, Managing Director of Rocket Market Development, is an American business and marketing strategist, consultant, and author. Matthew is managing director of the strategy consulting firm Rocket Market Development that helps companies identify opportunities and gain traction in U.S. markets. In addition, Matthew is an Adjunct Professor at Columbia University and New York University teaching graduate courses in strategic marketing and communications. Previously, he managed businesses at BIC USA, Chinet, Digitas, Pitney Bowes, and Snapple Beverages.
Matthew wrote Make It In America, How International Companies and Entrepreneurs Can Successfully Enter and Scale in U.S. Markets, which is being published in Fall 2022 by Wiley.
Jeffrey Smith is COO at Factum Global, where he leads business operations and communications efforts. Jeff has more than 15 years of experience as a communications professional. He has advised C-suite executives, government officials, and startup entrepreneurs across multiple sectors, including associations and nonprofits, beauty and fashion, finance, technology, and healthcare.
Previously, Jeff founded JVS Advisors, Inc., a New York-based communications firm focused on strategic communications and executive coaching. He also worked as director of communications at Warburg Pincus, a global private equity firm in New York. Prior to that, Jeff was a communications specialist at the Federal Reserve Bank of New York and at the Federal Reserve Board in Washington, D.C. He has been a university visiting lecturer and has served on the boards of nonprofit organizations. Jeff earned an MBA in international business and Master of Arts degree in political science from American University, and a Bachelor of Arts degree in political science and French from Villanova University. He also has studied at the Université Paris-Sorbonne.

Susan Gitenstein Assadi is the Executive Director of the Global Chamber NYC Chapter and also is the co-founder of her PR practice GAPR, which focuses on helping companies expand their exposure through coverage in the top tier business press.
The chapter is active and to demonstrate the power of the connections that our members strike with one another just recently Danielle Orcutt announced that she had struck a partnership with one of our affiliate members IWEC. Our members find individuals to partner with to grow their business and in this case cited an example of members synching up with organizational members of Global Chamber to grow their respective business.
