Sarita D. Jackson, Ph.D.

President and CEO at GRIIT (Global Research Institute of International Trade)

Sarita D. Jackson, PhD is the founder, president, and CEO of the Global Research Institute of International Trade (GRIIT), a US-based think-tank and consulting firm. Her firm saves firms time and money, as well as mitigates risks, as they expand globally via up-to-date, data-driven, customized market research and strategy development.

Dr. Jackson is also an author, TEDx speaker, and business school instructor. Her book, International Trade in Services: Effective Practice and Policy, was recently published by Routledge Taylor and Francis Group. She received her B.A. degree in broadcast journalism and Spanish from the University of Southern California and earned a Ph.D. in political science (emphasis on international political economy) from Brown University.

Jeffery Daar

Senior Principal at Daar & Newman.

Jeffery is a principal of the law firm Daar & Newman in Los Angeles, USA. The firm is a long established general practice law firm dedicated to providing the highest quality of representation to its clients, including acting as a gateway for international business both inbound to and outbound from the U.S.

Mr. Daar’s expertise includes strategic planning, complex state and federal litigation, innovative dispute resolution, and international transactions and disputes. His practice focuses on both litigation and transactional projects. His extensive litigation background gives him added insight into structuring transactions for clients along with his entrepreneurial approach to problem-solving and dispute resolution. He has served as a City Commissioner for the City of Los Angeles for more than 15 years and was Chair of The State Bar of California International Law Section. Mr. Daar holds a law degree from the University of California at Davis and a bachelor’s degree from Claremont McKenna College.

Doug Bruhnke

Doug is an global entrepreneur dedicated to helping members of Global Chamber® successfully reach new markets across 525 metros - everywhere! He is a two-time expat with Dupont in Tokyo and Singapore with 35 years of global business experience in nearly all countries and segments. Doug is a regional advisor for U.S. Global Leadership Coalition and a member of international groups including the Arizona District Export Council. He has a B.S. in Chemical Engineering from University of Utah, an EMBA from Michigan State University and 5 patents. Doug was born in Mount Kisco, New York and now splits time primarily between Scottsdale, Palo Alto and Los Angeles.

Robert Wheeler, In Memoriam

Our founding Executive Director Robert Wheeler passed away on an international trip as he was ramping up the chapter. Just before he passed away, we had margaritas and tacos in Redondo Beach, and all indicators were positive. Certainly that was an outstanding way to remember him along with his career and life. In his work life Robert built and led High Performance Teams in Global Operations, Manufacturing and Sales. He has someone who used lean principles and an inquisitive mind to Optimize Operations, Develop Personnel, and Contribute to the Community Internationally and Domestically. Thank you, Robert.
