Nicole Orr Allsop - Executive Director at Global Chamber® Trinidad & Tobago
Nicole is a passionate global connector and business leader, believing in opportunities for business to grow in Trinidad & Tobago. Besides her work with Global Chamber, Nicole is a wellness advocate with over 25 years of experience, focusing on empowering individuals towards optimal health. She focuses on creating innovative solutions for achieving wellness goals and on empowering people towards optimal health. She promotes lifestyle and preventative habits, concentrating on daily practices and ensuring reliable and accredited information. "What we do consistently shapes our lives, instead of what is done occasionally. Wellness habits and lifestyles should be valued and nurtured as a natural process of life. Live and Learn, Health and Healing for a lifetime! Lifestyle may be your first treatment option, embrace it!" Her work involves both individual consultations and group interventions such as workplace wellness. She is a Licensed Dietitian Nutritionist, Exercise Professional, PhD Candidate of Naturopathic Medicine and Founder of Clinique Médicale et Salus (Salus Medical and Wellness Clinic).
Nicole provides guidance on workplace health and preventative habits to improve employee well-being and the organization's health. She emphasizes the importance of consistent practice and ensuring reliable and accredited information is disseminated. Believing that learning is also exercise for the mind, her continuing studies are in the areas of Nutritional Psychiatry (food, brain and learning), Functional Nutrition, Lifestyle Medicine, Ayurveda, Traditional Chinese Medicine and Organisational Wellness. "Life is your health and your wealth, therefore, health is your lifestyle, but know it is not stagnant" is Nicole's mantra as she uses Functional Nutrition and Lifestyle Medicine concepts, combining them into daily living.
Nicole through video clips shares ``Manager Minute for your well being" addressing concerns relating to health, wellness and wellbeing. We are managers of our health and at times we need guidance, reminders, inspirations to limit or avoid adverse outcomes. As an author, focusing on "Managing Personal Health", Nicole is the Chief Editor and writes articles in Salus Well Being Magazine Journal. Through the articles she wishes to impart guidance for maintaining health and function throughout the life cycle; birth to old age, as the social, mental, economic, and environmental determinants of health are discussed. Nicole is a contributing writer for The Montessori Foundation Tomorrow’s Child Magazine and has authored children's books in nutrition and exercise as a Montessori Philosophy Educator which can be found on The Montessori Library website. Her business acumen extends from consultancy, administration, business development, strategic planning, and financial management where she is also the Management Director of her husband’s Law Firm; Nigel J Allsop & Company, Attorneys at Law.
