Charleston Advisory Board

Global Chamber is a global community of entrepreneurs, innovators, and thought leaders sharing a passion for international business success in Charleston. Our Advisory Board is made up of leaders from top companies and other leaders in the community.

These leaders offer input and advice pertaining to the content and development of programs, events and services geared toward adding value for chamber members and to the region.

The following leaders serve on the Board of Advisors to assist the Global Chamber Charleston in our mission to grow business in Charleston, across South Carolina and around the world.  

Matthew C. G. Brockbank - Board Chair 

Matthew C. G. Brockbank was born in London England, he moved to Atlanta GA when his father was hired stateside for cryopreservation research and development to preserve organs and organ systems outside the body. At the age of 14 he moved to Charleston then from 16 to 18 he attended Stowe Boarding School in Buckinghamshire England. At 18 he returned to Charleston to attend College of Charleston during which he worked in all facets of tours in the Historic District.
 
For the last 10 years Matthew has enjoyed immensely a career in Real Estate where he works with all kinds of clients from investors, retirees, relocations both to and from Charleston, military and foreign transplants. The diversity of the day to day takes, problem solving and helping others makes him enjoy his career. For his free time he enjoys the Art Walks, Oyster Roasts, Traveling, History, Fundraisers and a handful of social clubs both local and international.

Advisory Board Members

Woody Norris - Director of Sales and Events

Woody Norris is a disabled combat Veteran and proud father of four. He is also the founder of Booze Pops, a statewide franchised business. Born in South Carolina, Woody served in the U.S. Army for 4 years and was deployed during Operation Iraqi Freedom, spending a total of 8 years between Iraq and Afghanistan. After his military service, Woody had the opportunity to work as a civilian contractor supervisor. In this role, he was responsible for overseeing a team of over 250 diesel mechanics from 5 different countries. Together, they worked tirelessly to accomplish the necessary mission requirements.
 
Woody holds an Associates degree with a major in industrial technology, specializing in automotive. His goal is not just to create a business that can operate independently, but to create a business that can grow independently and provide strong support for the next generations. He strongly believes in supporting Veterans, military personnel, first responders, medical professionals, teachers, and all the necessities of a successful thriving society. Woody's aim is to boost innovation, advancement, and create a world that encourages the entrepreneurial spirit. One of Woody's favorite quotes, which has been a source of inspiration for him, is "When you want to succeed as bad as you want to breathe, then you will be successful" by Eric Thomas.

Devin Albert - Director of Youth Operations

Ratziel Bander - Director of Strategy 

British by birth, Ratziel has coached thousands of clients in 16 countries. People from all walks of life, from blue collar workers to industry leaders and international lawmakers have benefited from Ratziel’s insights and knowledge. He made his home in Charleston SC in 2021. In his spare time he enjoys gardening and cooking.
