Aarati Savur  

CEO of Parisar Asha

Ms. Aarati Savur is the CEO of Parisar Asha , Mumbai based not-for-profit Centre for Educational Research & Training. Ms. Aarati Savur brings with her a rich experience of 26 years in developing and creating arts integrated educational system for schools focussing on knowledge, skills and attitude & values. She worked as a teachers’ trainer cum teaching aids designer with Parisar Asha Mumbai Based NGO for 10 years. Next 10 years were full of corporate exposure in senior level management that includes first IB school in Madhya Pradesh, Pidilite Industries Ltd Birla Edutech Ltd. She is also the member of Experts resource Panel for the Board of NCERT Art & Aesthetics Department and Bihar SCERT. As per the last wish of founder director of Parisar Asha- Ms.Gloria de Souza , Ms. Savur gave up her flourishing corporate career and joined back Parisar Asha as the C.E.O to keep Gloria’s good work going. She strongly believes that to bring about a positive change in the society, there is an ardent need to bring about continuous innovation in the education system. In 5 years time she has brought many positive changes in the organisation and in the society at large through various innovative projects, such as Eco- tech World School Program for those who can’t afford quality education. She is also a member of Anti sexual harassment committee for women and children for Maharashtra Police State Intelligence department, Manpower group of companies also for the Thadumal Shahani Engineering college Bandra.

Aartii Neemkar

Anand Chakravarthy

Arjun Vaidya  

Previous CEO at Dr. Vaidya's: New Age Ayurveda

Arjun Vaidya was the CEO at Dr. Vaidya's: New Age Ayurveda (until Jan 2021). Prior to his entrepreneurial stint, Arjun graduated from Brown University, USA with a BA with honors in International Relations and Economics. He then worked in private equity at a consumer sector focused fund, L Capital Asia (the private equity arm of the Louis Vuitton Moet Hennessy Group) where he focused specifically on consumer brands and consumer tech. In October 2016, Arjun quit his job to take on his 150-year-old family legacy of Ayurvedic formulations that his grandfather left behind. Dr. Vaidya’s repackaged the ancient Indian science of Ayurveda and emerged as India’s largest Ayurveda brand online. The brand has successfully reached 1m+ consumers across 500+ cities and 16,500+ pin codes in India. Arjun was the first Ayurvedic Entrepreneur to be featured in the Forbes 30 Under 30 Asia List for and Business World 40 Under 40 List! Dr. Vaidya’s also won Youth SMB of the Year from Amazon and the Retail Startup Award from the Retailers Association of India. In June 2019, Dr. Vaidya’s partnered with the USD 4b RP Sanjiv Goenka Group and has now been acquired by the group – making it one of India’s first successful D2C exits. Currently, he is an active angel investor and mentor to brands in India’s D2C and ecommerce ecosystem. Outside of work, Arjun is an advisor to football focused NGO, Just for Kicks, is a World Economic Forum Global Shaper and a Mentor at the Atal Innovation Mission. He is also a part of the All-India Management Association’s Young Leaders Conference and a member of Brown University’s Young Alumni Advisory Council.

 

Harold D'Souza 

Co-Founder of Eyes Open International

Today, Harold is a Survivor-Advocate and Public Speaker. His experience has given him a new purpose and meaning in life. Harold is the co-founder of Eyes Open International, a non-profit focused on developing prevention efforts through survivor-informed research. Today, Eyes Open International is an inspiration all over the world and Harold also sits on the Board of Directors for Justice at Last as well as remaining active in local anti-trafficking organizations and efforts. United States President Barack Obama appointed Harold to the United States Advisory Council on Human Trafficking in 2015, and he has continued his service under President Trump through July 2020. He is also an expert consultant to the Department of State’s Office to Monitor and Combat Trafficking in Persons. Harold D'Souza is a survivor of labor trafficking and debt bondage in the United States of America. Originally from India, Harold D'Souza is well educated and experienced in sales management. He has a Bachelors in Business and a Masters of Commerce from The Maharaja Sayajirao University of Baroda. Harold stepped down from a senior management position in order to pursue the American Dream which he believed was within his reach. Harold came to the U. S. following the advice and encouragement of a man who would become his trafficker. For over 18 months Harold was exploited at the hands of the human trafficker, losing his freedom and struggling to keep his family safe. Harold strives to be the voice of courage, hope, and freedom for trafficking victims. He has been invited to speak throughout the United States as well as in India, Africa, Europe, and the Middle East. He has spoken at Harvard University, and addressed the United Nation on the importance of recognizing and protecting vulnerable populations susceptible to trafficking. In 2017 he was awarded both the Liberator Award and the iCan award for his activism and work with other survivors. He has recently published a book titled Human Trafficking: A Frog in a Well and is currently working on the release of a biopic film. Harold believes in fixing the problem rather than the blame, and believes nothing is impossible if he stays focused on his mission. His favorite quotes include "I am a poor starter, but a strong finisher" and "Don't worry, be happy".

Karan Gupta 

Director of Business Development at Premier Road Carriers Ltd.

Karan was born and raised in Mumbai, though he was fortunate to have experienced studying and living in different cities, having done his High School from Bangalore, India – Undergraduate Degree from Nottingham University, United Kingdom and finally having completed his MBA from Babson College, Boston USA. Currently, he works as a Director- Business Development for Premier Road Carriers. They are a family-run organization with over 50 years of industry presence in providing surface transportation on a Pan-India basis.  His role is to drive the company forward to meet their vision of being a 4PL – essentially a one-stop-shop for all logistics needs. Serious stuff aside, he is a Fitness and Movement Enthusiast (Certified Fitness and Sports Nutrition Coach with active interest in Capoeira- Martial Arts ) and an Adventure Junkie (Advanced Scuba Diver with active interest in Skiing/Snow Boarding and Mountaineering). 

 

Manvendra Singh Gohil 

Crown Prince of erstwhile princely Rajpipla State and 39th direct descendant of the 650 year old Gohil Dynasty 

Mavendra holds a Bachelor of Commerce and Post Graduation in LL.B. from Bombay University and he is trained as a Yoga Teacher from The Yoga Institute, Santacruz (E), Mumbai. In addition, he is a Formal Training on HIV/AIDS issues from Humsafar Trust, Mumbai (first CBO for MSMs in India). Current occupation includes: Being engaged in Vermiculture (Earthworm farming) at Rajpipla, Gujarat, conducting workshops for farmers of Narmada and Bharuch Dist for creating awareness on organic farming through Vermiculture and treating industrial effluent water and waste water by vermicasting in ETP Plants of Birla Cellulosic, Kosamba, ETP at Panoli, Padra, Alembic.

Present responsibilities: 

- Chairperson and Co-founder of Lakshya Trust, the 1st organization in Gujarat to work on HIV prevention amongst MSM (Men having sex with Men) and Transgender populations. (www.lakshya-trust.org

- Western India representative of INFOSEM (Integrated Network for Sexual Minorities), the largest Indian network of NGOs working on HIV/AIDS issues for sexual minorities in India. 

- Community Sector Representative of India sub region for MSMs of APCOM from 2006 to 2010 (Asia Pacific Coalition on Male Sexual Health). 

- Founder and Chairperson of Ekta Transglobal Foundation registered in USA. (www.ektatransglobal.org) aiming at providing a platform for global advocacy on social issues. 

- Ambassador Consultant (India) to AIDS Healthcare Foundation, the oldest organisation in USA working on HIV/AIDS issues. 

Sumeet "Sam" Nangia

Sumeet “Sam” Nangia, Esq. is a Los Angeles based attorney, business advisor and real  estate broker consultant Mr. Nangia has over 18 years of legal and business experience, advising clients in various  industries including real estate, retail, franchising, manufacturing and technology, and  being well versed in acquisitions, finance, joint ventures and leasing.   Experienced managing and working on teams and projects, including strategic planning, project  oversight and integration. Mr. Nangia is a partner in an international business consulting firm that assists upper  middle market and US public operating companies with outbound expansion into India,  and similar Indian companies expanding inbound into the US.  Mr. Nangia similarly assists  investors (VC’s, PE’s, Family Offices and HNI’s) invest in India, leveraging existing  relationships with Indian incubators, accelerators, law firms, banks, and other stakeholders  in the burgeoning Indian investment community. Mr. Nangia is also a practicing attorney in Los Angeles, focused on the Commercial Real  Estate, Corporate and M&A practice areas. Mr. Nangia started his career in KPMG’s International Tax Advisory services group, where  he worked on teams advising upper middle-market and Fortune 500 companies on  international tax planning strategy, including holding company structures, tax treaty  analysis and planning, the foreign tax credit regime, and other tax planning strategies,  primarily related to outbound transactions and businesses. He also served as COO and General Counsel at the Black Lion Investment Group, a retail  shopping center investment group based in Beverly Hills, California, and has also worked  with several prominent Southern California based law firms and large private-sector  companies, including Shea Properties and the Empire Group of Companies, advising and  working with some of the largest companies in the U.S. and India, including Lennar Homes,  KB Homes, Shea Properties, Stater Bros., and the Unitech Group (India). He also frequently speaks at business and legal events and seminars, focusing on such  issues as India high growth industries, trends and opportunities, real estate transactions  and trends (both in-bound to the U.S. and out-bound to India), business expansion,  international law and risk management. He received an LL.M. in Taxation and International / Corporate Law from the University of  San Diego School of Law, Juris Doctor degree from Loyola Law School, Los Angeles, and  dual undergraduate degrees in economics and political science from UCLA.

 

Tanay Bhimrajka  

Polmann India Ltd.

Tanay Bhimrajka is Director at Polmann India Ltd., responsible for evaluating and implementing strategic change initiatives and overlooking financial investments.  He is keen to learn about emerging technologies and actively tracks tech disruptions in the fields of Industrie 4.0 / Industrial Internet of Things (IIoT) and blockchain technology. He holds a BSc in Economics from the London School of Economics and Political Science, UK and has had stints in financial advisory at Deloitte and management consulting at Roland Berger. Among other interests, Tanay likes to play soccer, the guitar and engage in community service through the Rotaract Club of Bombay Bayview.

 

Vinod Bhimrajka

Vinod Bhimrajka is Director in the Bhimrajka Group of companies, a family-owned business with diversified activities across plastics, rubber, and industrial coatings. Polmann India Ltd., one of the core businesses, is a leading distributor of performance polymers and chemicals in India. He is a life member of the Indo-American association and is also the member of many associations such as Indian Rubber Institute (IRI), All India Rubber Industries Association (AIRIA), etc. His experience in engaging with leading multinational companies such as Dow Chemicals, DuPont, Clariant Chemicals etc. has helped him gain extensive insight into the intricacies and benefits of doing global business and help members leverage cross-border opportunities. In his private life, Vinod has been exceptionally active in community service. He has been an active member of the Rotary International for the past decade and even held the President’s post for Rotary Club of Bombay Queen City in 2007-08. He has been the leading force for many activities such as building Check Dams in the dry arid regions of his native state, organising medical camps and beautification of many locales in the city. Vinod also devoted a lot of his time for the development of Dr. Hegdewar Hospital in Aurangabad, a state-of-the art hospital which runs on grants and provides medical relief for underprivileged people at a nominal cost.
