Anne Wambui Gaitha

Founder & CEO at Regal Africa Group

Anne Wambui Gaitha is a Global Trade & Investment Expert, focusing on International Trade, Investment Banking & Investment Management in Africa and with Africa. Anne is also a Wealth & Executive Coach for African Leaders and Influencers. Anne brings expertise in understanding how global wealth is created and creating value for clients to achieve their financial goals by creating generational wealth and creating prosperous organizations. Anne has over 20 years of professional experience with 17 years cumulative experience in the financial service industry and global trade. Anne is the former Executive Director of the Organization of Women in International Trade, Nairobi Chapter (OWIT Nairobi) and has also worked for a licensed fund manager and a transaction advisory firm in Nairobi. She also has financial planning experience, having established her own financial advisory firm and has international experience having consulted for various businesses in California and Syngenta China in Asia. Cynthia Omondi

Head of Advisory at KCB Capital Ltd

Cynthia is an Investment Professional with over twelve years’ experience in Financial Services, particularly Corporate Finance Advisory. Cynthia has worked on numerous transactions and raised over USD 100m for various companies. Cynthia is currently the Head of Advisory at KCB Capital Ltd and was previously an Investment Director at Penda Health Limited after working at Genghis Capital as Head of Corporate Finance. Prior to that, Cynthia worked as an Investment Analyst at African Alliance (K) Securities. Cynthia is currently pursuing a Master’s in Public Policy and Management at Strathmore University Business School. She holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Commerce (Finance Option) as well as a CPA(K), Certified Public Accountant qualification. I’m interested in a transition to the fund-side, working with impactful investment firms to make sustainable investments in Africa.

Dennis Keya 

Country Manager, RIC Energy Group

Dennis Keya has over 17 years of experience in start-ups and working with companies on accessing new markets. As Head of Trade & Investment at the British High Commission in Nairobi, he assisted various multinationals with market access and advised senior UK government officials on policy issues. In 2014, he started operations for a renewable energy company in Kenya, DREAM EP Global Energy Kenya Ltd as General Manager and Director before moving to RIC Energy Group in 2020 where he currently serves as Country Manager and currently developing a pipeline of Solar PV and Storage for Commercial & Industrial and Mini-Grids projects.

Elseba Asinati 

Data and Analytics Expert

Elseba Asinati refers to herself as a ‘Data Wizard’ for the literal love of big data - structured data and unstructured data and the passion of translating business needs into the 3Ds of data – Data for Discovery, Data for Decision and Data for Dividend. She prides herself with a rich mathematical and statistical background in Actuarial Science with vast experience in data analytics, predictive analytics, data visualization, datasets management, performance management, budget planning, project management and process mapping. She’s a Data Science Associate with Predictive Analytics Lab where she’s training on Machine Learning and also an adjunct trainer in Statistical Computation with over 7 years of professional experience in Data Analytics in the insurance industry.

Emmanuel Maingi

Emmanuel Maingi is the founder of Athena Consulting, a human capital and human resources consulting and advisory firm based in Nairobi, Kenya. With over 14 years of professional experience, he leads on training and development for both private and public sector institutions. He is Global Advisor and immediate past Executive Director of the Global Chamber® Nairobi. He is also the incoming Chair of the Board of Directors for a grassroot mobility startup, Araka.
 
Prior to Athena Consulting and Global Chamber®, Emmanuel worked for UK Trade & Investment (UKTI), Department for International Trade (DIT), as an International Trade Advisor covering Automotive, ICT, Defense & Space and Education & Training covering the East African region. In 2019 – 2020, he consulted for Greater Manchester Chamber of Commerce & Industry (GMCC) on ease of doing business in Sub Saharan Africa.
 

Enos Weswa

“People ignore designs that ignore people” I simply design! For more than 11 years, I have helped over 600 entrepreneurs turn their ideas into businesses. Getting ideas is the easy part, execution is a lot harder. Founding Mass Inspire Ltd, a design & communication company (massinspire.com) in 2007 became a starting point to practically understand the challenges. In 2011, I became a facilitator for the Creative Entrepreneurship Project after going through Training of Trainers course and Creativity and Innovation Course by British Council. I was tasked to train other facilitators on creative presentation skills. I worked with a team from the Godown Art Centre, British Council, Swedish Institute to develop a curriculum of entrepreneurship. I joined Strathmore University’s Incubation Centre (@iBizAfrica) in 2012 as a startup Consultant where I mentored, trained and coached over 350 startups in various fields through startup programs like Safaricom App Wiz Challenge, The Strathmore-Waterloo Agribusiness Challenge, The World Bank Negawatt Challenge, Standard Chartered Women in Tech, Pangea Accelerator, Safaricom Foundation Tech for Good, among others. I have worked with UK Government and British High Commission on the Go Global Africa 2019 Tech Hub Network in Kenya. Areas of coaching were Design Thinking, Pitching and Presentation, Investor Readiness

Grace Wamahiga-Chege 

Grace Muhia-Chege – Director, Seven Levers LLP

Grace Muhia-Chege is a risk management and compliance professional offering over 10 years of progressive leadership and hands-on industry experience reviewing and evaluating organizations risk, compliance, and integrity performance, reputation and expertise. She has built an in-depth career experience from two of the ‘Big Four’ firms having worked in the capacity of an inhouse risk advisor and as a consultant in the crisis management Advisory department. She is experienced in but not limited to; corporate intelligence and due diligence reviews, financial crime program audits and reviews, investigations, fraud risk management, ABAC/ AML governance, risk management, management consulting, compliance, expenditure verification and training. She has executed projects in Kenya, Tanzania, Uganda, Sudan, Rwanda and Zambia. Joseph Okelo 

Chairman and Founder if the Association of Family Business Enterprises (AFBE)
 
AFBE is a business member-based organization that provides family businesses with a safe space to share experiences and knowledge and address common issues they face. It is the only organization that represents the interest of family businesses in East Africa.

He is the Co-Founder of Kayana Create, a community of female entrepreneurs of abundance that come together to move their businesses from ideation to start up to SME’s. Previously, he was the Director of Makini School, one of the leading private educational institutions in Kenya. He was also a senior manager of Cargill Inc. in East Africa, where he held a leadership role with responsibilities in East and South Africa. Joseph is a Board Member of a number of non - profit organizations. He is the Regional Director of the Global Travel and Tourism Partnership (GTTP) East Africa, a multi-country educational program to introduce students to career opportunities in Travel & Tourism.

He is an Advisory Board Member and the local Chairperson of Shining Hope for Communities (SHOFCO), a grassroots movement based in Nairobi, Kenya in urban slums providing services, community advocacy platforms, and education and leadership development for women and girls.

Lucy Karume  

Director, Jacaranda Group of Hotels Head

Lucy is a Director with the Jacaranda Group of Hotels, Kenya and a Trustee of the Njenga Karume Trust. She is also a recognized leader in the private sector having served as the Vice Chairperson of Kenya Private Sector Alliance (KEPSA) and currently as a director at KEPSA Foundation. KEPSA is an alliance in pursuit of an enabling business environment, engaging the government at the Executive Office and all the different organs of the government. Lucy represents KEPSA at various local and international platforms as keynote speaker in different fields Lucy is well known and highly respected in the Tourism Sector, and she has served as Chairperson of Kenya Tourism Federation. KTF is the leading voice that articulates the needs of tourism and hosts seven other private sector bodies under its umbrella.  Lucy is an MBA graduate in hospitality management and has been in the tourism industry for almost 30 years, working in various tourism related companies. Lucy is a director at The Nature Conservancy. Lucy was awarded the Institute Award for Outstanding Contribution to the Community from Kenya Association of Hotel Keepers and Caterers and Institute’s Award for Outstanding Citizenship which is awarded to the student who in the opinion of the senior members of the faculty has, in their everyday dealings with others, demonstrated civility, character, strong personal commitment and a professional attitude from International Management Institute, Luzern Switzerland. Muthoni Koinange 

Founder and Managing Consultant at SP Advisory

Muthoni is the Founder and Managing Consultant SP Advisory, a consultancy firm  with a County and National in-depth understanding of the economic and social  factors companies need to take into account when investing and operating in Kenya.  Mainly focused on Oil & Gas, Renewable Energy, Mining and Infrastructure sectors.

Naomi Kasi

Tim Kipchumba

Tim Kipchumba is CFO & Co-Founder of Questworks, an Engineering Procurement and Construction company serving clients in Kenya, Uganda, Israel, USA and Nigeria to achieve their real estate and renewable energy project goals. He holds a 1st Class Business IT degree and Master of Commerce from Strathmore University. Tim is a speaker, mentor, co-author of two teen life skills books and President of Mentorthon, a social impact organization that has impacted over 26,000 high school students in Kenya through mentorship and publishing by working with over 20 corporate partners and 300 mentors. Wangeci Thuo  

Africa Territory Head at Whizz Education

Ms. Wangeci, a Kenyan National, is an Education Specialist with vast experience in initiating  and managing complex multinational, multi-activity education projects and programs in Africa. She is Education-Technology (EdTech) Enthusiast with sixteen (16) years’ experience in the field. She has a keen interest in the application of effective ICTs in all sectors of the  economy and particularly in education where she believes it provides an opportunity to  achieve equity and amplify quality. She is persuaded that ICT-supported learning, at scale, will result in a critical mass of problem solvers equipped to contextually respond to local and  global challenges as well as accelerate wealth creation for nations. 

She is currently the Africa Territory Head of Whizz Education, a British Education Organisation  leading the frontier of the use of Artificial Intelligence in personalised-adaptive learning. Prior  to joining Whizz Education, Wangeci worked with the African Virtual University (AVU) for  eleven (11) years as a Manager of Education Projects in 21 African countries supported by the  World Bank and the Africa Development Bank.  

Wangeci holds a Masters of Education from the University of Nairobi, Kenya; and a Bachelors  of Education from Egerton University, Kenya.
