Global Chamber is a global community of entrepreneurs, innovators, and thought leaders sharing a passion for international business success in Vietnam. Our Advisory Board is made up of leaders from top companies and other leaders in the community.

These leaders offer input and advice pertaining to the content and development of programs, events and services geared toward adding value for chamber members and to the region.

The following leaders serve on the Board of Advisors to assist the Global Chamber Vietnam in our mission to grow business in Vietnam, and around the world.  

Dang Huy Dong - Advisory Board Chair

Dang Huy Dong is a seasoned economist and policy leader with over four decades of experience shaping Vietnam’s economic landscape. Holding a Master’s degree in Public Management and Economics, he has served in high-level government positions, including Deputy Minister of Planning & Investment and Vice-Chairman of the Central Economic Committee of the Party.

Throughout his career, he has spearheaded transformative national policies — from the Law on Investment and SME Development to pioneering public–private partnerships (PPP) that attracted major domestic and foreign investments. His leadership extends to large-scale infrastructure, renewable energy, and green transformation initiatives, both in Vietnam and on the global stage.

• Co-founder & Director, Planning and Development Institute (PDI)
• Consortium Leader, Da Nang City Master Planning (2021–2030, Vision 2050)
• Advisor, Economic & Investment Promotion – Bac Lieu Province (3,200MW LNG power project)
• Chairman, SME Development Fund of Vietnam
• Deputy Minister, Ministry of Planning & Investment (2009–2017)

A respected voice in international economic forums such as the World Economic Forum in Davos, Dang Huy Dong continues to drive strategies for sustainable growth, investment attraction, and Vietnam’s green transformation.
